The Forgotten Room user reviews :

Overall a really good game. The puzzles mostly made sense. There were only three that I had a problem with: two with simpler solutions you can’t use (why would you melt ice in a bucket when you could just stick the bucket outside in the rain?) and one puzzle that required a mechanic that was never mentioned or used prior to the one time that it is used (how was I supposed to know that I needed to use multiple fingers at once to tap multiple things or that the game would even recognize it?).

The puzzles made sense, I got lost on one or two, but easily found answers by taking a short break, coming back with fresh eyes, and figuring it out. The final step of the bucket one was a little unrealistic, even for a ghost story game. Controls and graphics were mainly good. I paid $1.99 for the full game, well worth it. There are a lot of comments about the anti-climatic ending, which is kind of true, but it ties in the story well. Overall, had a great time playing this game.

Fun and creepy. Wish it had been longer. There is a bug where the toolbar disappears if you open your inventory, then hit the back button with inventory still on screen, then tap the center circle of the inventory. I think that’s the correct sequence. If you drag any item instead of tapping the center, it doesn’t make the toolbar disappear. Also, tapping outside of the open photos sometimes sends them to the back layer instead of closing, but clicking the album again will close it.

This was a great shorter game. Excellent atmosphere and story. It did glitch (hehe) on me once at the eye puzzle, it saved my photos, the controls disappeared, and it forced me to go back to the beginning. Would have been more of an issue had I been further along. All that being said it, was a great game from a great company.

Genuinely challenging game and a very interesting story line. They did an excellent job creating a genuinely creepy vibe. I absolutely love the camera tool, which not only let’s you draw on the pictures in app but also let’s you look at the picture and solve the puzzle at the same time! I hope there’s a sequal in the making!

  • Really glad to hear you liked the game so much! We’re not working on a sequel presently. Glitch is just the two of us and we can only work on one game at a time, the current being Veritas. You will most likely like all our other games though, they are all the same genre and all have the Glitch Camera

Very atmospheric haunted house puzzle game. Excellent progression through the environment from a game perspective. The game is a little dark, so you may want to turn up your screen brightness to be able to see everything you need to. Most puzzles are logical extensions of the world; I only got completely stuck once! The ending is a clean, creepy finish. Well done!
