Monolisk user reviews :

The game is fun and I enjoy the gameplay loop, but the rate at which packs are earned is deplorable. For new players, not having a lot to work with while designing shards feels really bad, and since we earn so little from playing them, we pretty much just have to rely on daily quests to earn them, which means we’re only logging on once or twice a day just to complete it. On a side note, I’m not so fond of the touch control. I’d prefer a joystick move option.

Nothing in here is revolutionary, but the game is still good enough to deserve the 5 stars. the controls could do with a bit more tuning, and I wish the level rating was a bit more in depth, bit that’s the worst I can say about the game. The level editor is fun, there are micro transactions but they don’t feel predatory in the slightest, the art style is very good, level editor works well. No real complaints here. Not played it long though, so might change, but so far 5/5

I want to love this game. It’s like a collection of short stories. Controls are pretty straightforward and mapmaking is fairly simple. The problem is progression. Levels are based on packs opened, and each pack is 1k. So far, the most I’ve received from a single map is 20 coins. The 500 coin boost from quests would be helpful but they refresh at absurdly long intervals. Currently, mine are 11, 35, and 59 HOURS. That’s way too long. Why isn’t level tied to glory?

  • Shards can have up to 30 coins in them, and Daily quests are added each day. There’s more than one way to earn cards in MONOLISK! Gaining Glory gives you golden cards at the end of each season, and you can also create entertaining Shards for others to passively gain Card Packs! Glory ranks are reduced monthly, and players hate losing levels!
An interesting idea, as community driven dungeon crawler, but the game is extremely stingy in handing out currency and loot. Add to this the slim pickings you have to work with early on, and you can’t really make or do anything interesting. With greater variety in monsters and traps, this could become a lot more interesting, but as it is now, after playing a couple levels you’ve pretty much experienced all the game has to offer unless you grind for 100s of hours to actually unlock more stuff.

  • Hey, please check our tips how to earn Packs and Orbs faster: monolisk.fandom.com/wiki/Card_Packs and monolisk.fandom.com/wiki/Orbs

I’ve played a bit over the past few days and this is the opinion I’ve formed so far: The game is almost perfect for what it currently has to offer. The idea of being able to play maps that other players have made and also being able to make your own and get rewards for people rating it is amazing. I definetly recommend this game to anybody interested. This game has such potential and I feel this game could go far if it takes it’s time. I hope a dev reads this : )

So I really enjoy this game, it reminds me a lot of the pc version of the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot when that was still alive. However, the biggest issue with the game is the currency. It has essentially the same economy as Hearthstone, which is a really good system, however I wish there was a system to make chests give additional currency based on the average amount of deaths that occur in the shard. It seems like right now there’s no benefit to making a particularly difficult shard.
