I use this app for import image from my camera canon eos M3 to my smartphone. Nice app.
Why doesnt canon let the app be used with wired connection! Most of the eos models are lacking wireless connectivity. Its only logical to make the app wire friendly.
Works nicely. Wish more control was available including time lapse.

Tried this with EOS-M2 and Droid Mini. Set up is fairly easy. Works great at a good distance without line of site. Canon Camera Connect does not work with eosm2. Just hit OK when you see the message that tells you to use CCC. Not many controls, but the app actually works! That’s why I squeaked out 5 stars. I use it only as a shutter release.
It works; no crashes or any misbehavior. But it certainly needs more controls to be useful in scenarios other than very simple ones. 1. access to more shooting parameters. (White balance, various bracketing settings, flash control) 2. Time lapse 3. Ability to turn off image transfer from camera to phohe for faster rounds. 4. Manual focus adjustment on the camera 5. Max zoom should be 10x (or more). Think of wide angle astrophotography where you need to adjust focus to see stars as few pixels
I am in love with this app! The only thing that used to irk me about using my camera was that if I wanted to upload any of my photographs online, I had to transfer the photos manually via my laptop. This app and wifi function makes my life 1000 times easier!!
