aodNotify – Always know when you have new notifications

[App] aodNotify – Always On Display on Notifications

aodNotifyaodNotify : You miss notifications because your Samsung phone doesn’t have a notification LED?

aodNotify will use the Always On Display (AOD) as a notification indicator!

The app will automatically activate the Always On Display (AOD) when you receive notifications and disable it when notifications are cleared. With this you always know when you have new notifications!

The app has minimal battery consumption and doesnt drain your battery like other apps which try to simulate a LED!

Simply select which apps are allowed to turn on Always On Display and get notified on important notifications.

Furthermore you can automatically activate the Always On Display while charging your phone so you can see the charging state.

NEW: In latest beta release you can now activate an edge lighting animation for incoming notifications! More edge lighting features will come soon…

FEATURES:

Activate Always On Display on notifications
Disable Always On Display when notifications are cleared
Select apps which can turn on Always On Display
Activate Always On Display while charging
Edge lighting animation (beta release only)
Minimal battery consumption

NOTES:
This app is only for Samsung devices with Always On Display! e.g. S10, S9, Note 9, A50..
Huawei, Google or Sony phones do not support this unfortunately
Samsung may block this app with future updates!
Please check if the app is compatible before updating phone software!

aodNotify user reviews :

It’s one of those rare applications which simply do their job well. It works, it does not crash, it doesn’t do weird things, it just does what it’s supposed to do and it does it well. I’m going to buy the Pro version to support the developer, he/shes deserves it! Especially because the dev is not greedy and gave us most of the features for free.

This is by far the best and most useful app created for the galaxy s10 family. The worst issue with these phones – lack of notification led and issues with notifications in general is gone. Great job, man!

Love the concept, but when set to “Tap to show” in the AOD settings, the AOD doesn’t turn itself off after serving its purpose. A fix and I’ll give it a solid 5 star rating!

This is a great app. I was doing something similar with Tasker but this makes it easy easier with a few better options. Please release this for other Android devices like the Pixel

i saw a lot of good reviews about this app. I loved this app but it keeps turning off “Aod” on the system. When I want do the “Tap to show” it works for a couple of minutes than it turns off its self. how can I fix this?

It’s a life saver. Was waiting for it since AoD was made available on Samsung AMOLED display. HUGE THANKS to XDA. XDA read Android fan’s heart. Send some XDA people to Google and then google engineers trained by them about which neglected features Google should work on

I’m giving this a roadtest at the moment. So far so good, although I can’t talk about battery impact yet. Also, I usually use ‘tap to show’ AOD, but this disables AOD altogether until an alert comes. Any options in the pipeline to fix this?
