Criptext Secure Email – Have peace of mind and privacy in every email you send

[App] Criptext Secure Email

Criptext Secure EmailCriptext Secure Email : Finally, an email service that’s built around your privacy.

Get your @criptext.com email address and see what it’s like to have peace of mind and privacy in every email you send.

Features:

End-to-end Encryption: Criptext uses the open source Signal Protocol library to encrypt your emails. Your emails are locked with a unique key that‘s generated and stored on your device alone, which means only you and your intended recipient can read the emails you send.

No data collection: unlike every other email service out there, Criptext doesn’t store your emails in its servers. Instead, your entire inbox is stored exclusively on your device.

Open Source: our source code is open for everyone to see that Criptext actually works the way it’s advertised. You don’t have to trust us, you can verify for yourself: github.com/Criptext

Easy to use: our app is designed to work as simple as any other email app — so much so, you’ll forget how secure it is.

Get Criptext and see how easy it is to email with more security and privacy!

Criptext Secure Email user reviews :

Has some bugs. But nothing major. (The one that I remember off the top of my head is that I wanted to attach a PDF to send to someone; when I tried to send it via the Android app, it couldn’t attach; as in, if I selected the file –> share –> choose CripText –> that opens up the app, but then it’d just display a failed to attach error). I still like it. Especially the push notifications to know when someone read your email. Though the fact that ti’s encrypted, etc. (i.e. the foundation of the entire app) is nifty too. :)

For an app this young, and still not marked as a final build its pretty incredible. If it was advertised as a final build I’d say the same. Well designed app and very functional. Would be great if it could soon support multiple users per account. Or just multiple accounts in general with account switching etc

I loved the app and i loved the service. The desktop app needs some improvement such as support for multiple accounts and a more flat monotone interface. But overall i love the app, this is exactly what i want from Email Services. You should create a self-hosted webmail type software so that it can run headless on a local always-on device like a raspberry Pi.

Love this email client. My only complaint is that there us no way to delete spam emails without opening them. For some reason there is no trash can icon in this folder. Once that is fixed, this will be a 5 star app.

If you care about your privacy, it’s the best email client you will find today. They do not store your messages and care about your security. It’s still very young project, bright future is in front of them.

Loved this app from the minute I installed it. The concept is perfection. Two small things that make it almost unusable for me as a user on multiple devices though: 1. Drafts don’t sync across devices (I use 4 different devices and don’t always finish emails right away). 2. I often get ‘content unencrypted’ instead of the message body when opening mails on subsequent devices. Apk is running on galaxy s7 and desktop apps are used on windows 10. A fix would be much appreciated. Edit: Nice, cheers!

  • Hey Sebas, we’re actually launching a solution to the “Content Unencrypted” problem now in early November. Also, Drafts will soon be synched across devices ;) thanks for that awesome feedback and helping us improve.

Brilliant easy to use. Just can’t zoom email. This is the best email app I have ever used.

Simple and secure. I know a lot of people gets scared when they are told emails are stored locally, but yet they still sync across all your devices. This is for me the best and most secure email service I’ve used ever. I’m very concern about my privacy, so this is a perfect solution. I’m in the process of moving from Gmail to this great service. The only thing I’ll suggest to improve is to allow users to set a password for the automatic drive backup as you are able to do with local backup option

Excellent phone and desktop application; I’ve been waiting for something like this for some time so that I can distance myself from these draconic corporations. I have had no problems so far. My only critique currently to the development team would be to add an “open on windows startup” option in the settings menu! Cheers
