Google Text-to-Speech user reviews :

This is the first time it’s been available in the App Store For those who are wondering what the new update is, it is that this is the first time that this application has been available separately of Android and then put in the Google Play Store. For example on the Galaxy Note 3, this application is not available by default, only the crappy built-in Samsung voice is. Now, for the first time, this application can be accessed by anyone

Odd thing happened Not long after installing this, bunch of NSA agents busted in and cuffed me to the bed, then kept me in the dark room for several hours until I woke up and realised I don’t live in a spy novel.

Thank You Google I couldn’t believe that my sweet Galaxy Note 3 didn’t have Google Speech Synthesis! The Samsung offering sounds awful. Now I have my familiar Google girl back! WISH LIST: Male voice option

Last Update  February 17, 2016 :

 Improved voice quality.
Added support for Bengali (Bangladesh), Danish, English (Australia), Finnish, Hungarian, Norwegian and Mandarin (Taiwan).
A better voice for Indian English.
The offline voices can now speak at a faster rate.
You can now leave feedback for us in the settings menu.
Plus lots of bug fixes and performance improvements.

  1. What happened to the British male voices?
    Please make these elective!!!

I miss both of the Brit male TTS robots who mysteriously vanished this week.

I use the voices for books–the female voice are not always best for that.
