Material Files user reviews :

The best file manager. Looks clean and beautiful and has no ads. The layout is simple and super easy to use. Lacks only one thing, there should be an apk folder in standard folders which shows all the apk files so managing apks will be super easy. Thank you

Overall best app. Would have given it five stars if i did not have a sdcard. Edit: as you replied. I dont want to permanently use sdcard as my default opening space. I meant to have an optiom as “when i open material files there should be 2 options listed. One saying internal storage and the saying sdcard. ” then i can tap on anyone and enter whichever i want.

  • Hi, you can change it in Settings -> Default folder.

One word: Amazing. Simple interface, reliable, and light. Even though it has a little size, it offers great features like ftp server and external storage which is pretty come in handy

Could it be possible to fix the storage capacity info in the pane please? When I delete or add files to storage it doesn’t update. I have to close app and reopen to see the updated capacity. This is what’s not enabling this to be a 5 star review

I love how clean it is, and modern/simple, but it doesn’t have a recent tab or bookmark to access all the files/pictures or videos recently downloaded.

I like it most compare with my xiaomi file manager… & I like to design it as huawei file manager (copy, paste, etc button, at bottom portion)

Nice looking app. Would like to have some more features like – FTP Storage from PC, Double Coloumn browsing ( Slide to change coloumn).

This app is perfect, it has exactly what I need! It would be good if it had some “extra” features. Like zipping, unzipping etc.

Love the way this app looks and feels, I’d love if I can connect it to an SMB file share

I’m having a great experience on my Pixel 2 XL except for not being able to access /storage/emulated/0/Android/data

  • Unfortunately, non-system apps can no longer access that path on Android 11, which is a system restriction. You may still root the device and allow root for this app so that it may access that path though.

Good Application but need to add many more things like :- 1. There should be app manager. 2. More Settings. 3. Compressed files opener. Ex : zip,7z etc… 4. Compress files into zip,7z,arj etc… 5. Application UI or Appearance.

Clean and simple. It would be nice to hide the Root storage for unroofed devices.

Fast and reliable file browser with good additional functions.

This is an awesome file manager, maybe the best. It will be perfect if you can check the micro sd recognision in android 7.1.2

very clean file manager, looks like android build in file manager but with more features.

Fdroid introduced this app to me. Since I cant rate there, take my 5 stars in Playstore. FOSS apps are the best

It isn’t helpful when organizing or cleaning picture or video files because of the only list view mode and no preview or built in viewer.

Hi dev, Is it possible to add view type as grid, list etc.. Thanks.

cleaner UI design, files were very responsive when opening

Beautiful looking file manager. Best of all it’s open source

Open-source, simple and reliable tool!

Best file manager out there, period.

Its cool and you know that people would love it when you created it and they do love it so thank you so much for the most amazing app ever

Made in a way that once any thing is open it will download an save it at once

I’ve been looking for a file manager that provides functionality (such as extracting non-zip archives) AND has a user interface that doesn’t look ugly AND doesn’t have any ads. Glad to say that this app fulfills all three. Excellent!
