MonitorMix user reviews :

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and have no problem with this app. I also connect via Samsung tablets and I-phones. Have no connectivity problems and all work well with the app. I use this with Yamaha TF5 console. I have band all on ears (8 channels) and use 1 tablet for a mix to video stream for a total of 9 devices available for separate mixes. Great product.

Overall, the app is pretty good to mix your monitor. Lots of customization options that are hidden in the menus. However, the latest update has broken the app. I have to turn off my phone’s cellular data to be able to connect to our Yamaha QL board, otherwise it sits on “Connecting” indefinitely. This was working fine in the previous update, and until it is fixed, this app is a 3-star for me. Running Android 13 on Pixel 7 Pro.

I’m having the exact problem as Paul B (Oct. 13, 2023 post). Nobody is able to connect anymore. My phone was the only one able to. I found that I was on V2.1.0 in the app and everyone else updated to V2.2.0 To prove the theory correct, I too updated my app to V2.2.0 and now I am unable to connect. In the app/update notes, it states that it versions are compatible however this is not the case. Does anyone have any insight on this?

The app is, overall, pretty good. Nice interface, matches the features and iconography match the main console nicely. Performs fast and smooth. However, now that there is the introduction of the TF-Rack, it is surely about time that there was a full mixer control app for Android. In our building, we have a TF-Rack because we have already invested in 2 TF1 consoles. They work great, really happy with them. But now that out TF-Rack is in, we have it connected to the main network with WIFI access. This now allows us to remote control the console properly. One major feature that makes this difficult in a modern, managed WIFI system is the ability to input an IP address manually. Relying always on an auto-discover tool is fine for small, independent setups. However, when you have a device that is properly integrated and managed, you need the feature of adding IP addresses manually. PLEASE can this be an update that you can release soon? Second, when will the full feature set of the console be released to Android? That would complete the system for us if our Android devices could actually utilise and access the full features of the TF console range.

We use it at our church and it is great how everyone can do the in-ear mix by himself. Unfortunately since the latest updated the compact (more condensed columns) is not available anymore(?!). And it would be nice to be able to select colors for a more intuitive and faster view also for non-grouped outputs.

Generally does the job but two issues. 1. Unlike the iPad app, this app doesn’t do sends on fader control, only matrices or buses 2. It’s rather inconvenient to have to disconnect and reconnect just to go back to the submixes list.

Awesome app. But would be really handy if all the faders showed input levels when a signal is coming through, like the main fader does. It would make it easier to know which channel is being used. If Yamaha can add that feature this app would be even better. Thanks in advance.

It works, kinda. You can edit subs, and that part works amazingly, but you can NOT access the main channels. I have the official app on an iPad, and that gives you the option. I would love to see this issue fixed!

This app is great and works well. I need a full stage mix app. So that I can control and adjust the front of house from anywhere in the room.
