Sixth Grade Detective – Solve mysterious disappearances and thefts

[Game] Sixth Grade Detective

Sixth Grade Detective  Round up the usual suspects—the mean girl, the new kid, the bully, the nerd, maybe even your best friend!

As the sixth grade detective, you’ll spy on classmates for cash—will you keep their secrets or take the money?

“Sixth Grade Detective” is a 109,000-word interactive young-adult novel by Logan Hughes, where your choices control the story. It’s entirely text-based–without graphics or sound effects–and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Match wits with the criminal masterminds of middle school! Solve mysterious disappearances and thefts, trace rumors, track down your best friend’s stolen bike, and most importantly—get a date to the dance.

Forge friendships, chase down thieves, or stick to your guns against bullies? Unmask them in public, or work behind the scenes to help a new friend? Will you protect the reputation of your clients, destroying evidence, or go so far as to hack your friend’s cell phone to uncover his embarrassing secret?

Investigate six mini-mysteries.
Search for clues, question suspects, crack codes, dust for fingerprints, interview witnesses, and uncover your classmates’ deepest secrets.
Reveal the truth, or keep silent for the greater good… or greater profit.
Shine in the classroom or cut school with the rebels.
Lie to the adults–if you can get away with it
Build friendships, create enemies, and find a date for the big dance.
Play as a girl, boy, or neither. Date classmates of any gender, or avoid romance altogether.
Find out who your secret admirer is!

Sixth Grade Detective user reviews :

I think there’s an error. Somehow, I managed to finish the game even though I haven’t paid for it yet. Please fix it, the money you’re supposed to be receiving will be wasted. But I must admit, this one’s awesome. I highly recommend this game.

Cute game! I thought it might be a good story to introduce my son to interactive fiction, but with the romance plot line, I think he’s just a couple years too young to get it. It’d be perfect for a middle schooler to read! Nice job.

An excellent example of interactive fiction which I’ve always enjoyed. This is well written with meaningful choices. I’m trying to get my kids to try some IF and this was a perfect place to start.

It’s a great game give it a chance you’ll be surprised about how good it really is

Cool game, I would really like it if their was a second game.

I think that this is a awesome game… but I wish you didn’t have to pay for the chapters. I did a couple for free but now I can’t continue playing it due to the fine:((( But I loved the chapters I got to do

I loved it but I wish it were free. Please make the full story free and I’ll give it 5 stars

It’s pretty easy to solve the mysteries. I wish it was a bit more challenging? Still enjoyable for a good hour or so. I just wish there were more dialogue between the MC and the other characters. It looks like a sequel could be apparent, which I think could be a great opportunity to further enhance the characters personalities, and increase the difficulty level of mystery solving! For example, having the sequels be a 1 later based on decisions in the past? There’s a lot of potential.

I love this game! It is amazing! Through out the whole game in my mind, i kept telling myself that nothing was more important than AJ! And that is why i gave her the bike back and stayed in the group and left with them out the window at the end. I knew your character and AJ wasn’t going to kiss, because the characters are in sixth grade. Every choice i made while playing this game was for AJ. I love this game and i hope that the developer reads my comment and repile back to me because i think that you guys should make a seventh grade detective, a eight grade detective, a ninth grade detective, a tenth grade detective, a eleventh grade detective and a twelve grade detective game and have all of them be with the same characters.

The story was good, very good. When I downloaded this I thought it was going to be a story about a kid doing things that he couldn’t do and unrealistic scenes. But this story gives realistic scenes and cases that a sixth grade can actually pull of if they have the right tools and experience. I hope there’s a sequel.
