Sonny user reviews :

Not too difficult and not too easy either. The game gives you a sense of knowing why and how you should balance your stats; there’s no OP statistics on items and overall you can only rely on combos of your own movesets. I just wish there’s something to do more with your allies, like maybe add more abilities to them and like in the previous Flash installments customize their behavior, but the follow up of the AI is good nonetheless.

I think people have too much nostalgia to enjoy this game. But I think the reboot is well-done. I love the focus on lore and characters, as it provides an immersive experience the prior games somewhat lacked. I understand that most think that the gameplay lacks complexity, but it is still intuitive. My main complaint is the final boss: when he does his shadow attack, you either heal and let him gain power, or dispell him and get a teammate killed. It’s impossible with nature/lightning.

It has been too long since I played Krin’s Sonny… I remember when it first was uploaded to years ago to AG… Music is awesome, slightly different, but still great. I don’t really like the whole wobbly nature of the viewpoint, and miss the static screen. Artwork – I really liked the simpler, grittier, original style, where only certain elements were highlighted. The sounds and speech do not marry up exactly with what is being said, and characters do not finish (or start) the text in the dialogue box.

If you’ve played the original and enjoyed it, you owe it to yourself to give this a try. The characters are a bit different with some key changes to the story, I’m only about 40 percent through it so far but it’s a fun game. Armor and weapons don’t show up and the characters are static icons but the style and gameplay is much better to the first games. I do recommend giving it a try. Ads are also not as big a deal as made out to believe. I get one every 5 or so battles, and it’s normally one you can exit instantly. The ones to boost exp or gold after battle are short ones and clicking skip normally just moves on I’m having no issues there at all.

Great game. Incredible, intelligent, and humorous writing. As a big JRPG fan, the spin you guys put in the importance of different debuffs to keep the turn based gameplay from getting stale is superbly done. Voice acting is a welcome treat. Only small complaint is with the UI…if you could adjust it so I can drag and drop a skill tile so I can personalise the skill wheel to my choosing would be the cherry on top. I would easily pay up to $7 for this game. Will be on the lookout for more of your games.
