CommonMark functions:

Links and pictures
Tables and quote-blocks
Headings
Soft-breaks and new-paragraphs
Numbered and bulleted lists.
Use of html tags directly in the text, for example to change the text color.
and others! (See commonmark.org)

Epsilon Notes also allows advanced users to create their own Markdown tags and tweak the existing ones using a component called compatibility preprocessing, which makes this editor compatible with any other markdown processor that you formerly used.

If you know Markdown tags, then CommonMark will be just as easy for you, because Commonmark was developed as an alternative to Markdown, by expanding it and eliminating ambiguities of the latter.

Epsilon Notes user reviews :

The program is very nice, and I really appreciate your quick responses! I’ve bought the program. More comments: 1. It would be convenient to have a menu in the editor regime, then there would be no need to place rarely-used actions in the bars. 2. A small issue: dual-view (viewing+editing) loses synchronisation when [TOC] is present. 3. Can you allow expand/collapse of [TOC], say, by a single press in the view mode? 4. Can you allow navigation via [TOC] in the dual-view regime? Thanks!

  • Hello! Thank you for your compliment. Sync on switching is not there yet. Spacing between lines is regulated through css styles in the prefs.
BEST markdown editor. I’m an expert coder & tried ALL MD editors on Android. My feedback implemented in many. Suggestion: i) the top-right icon in editor mode needs to cycle through THREE Modes: 1) Edit Only 2) Dual Screen (editor+preview) which it currently does. PLUS 3) PREVIEW ONLY. Suggestion ii) The same icon (cycling through THREE Modes) should be in top-right of PREVIEW MODE TOO. Try it, you’ll love it. Because it’s the only logical feature missing. It will take this from 5* to 6*

  • Hello! Thank you for the high appreciation of the app. I’d abstain from the full screen preview in the synchronized preview/editing as it would mean the need to hide the keyboard with the screen estate changes unfavorable for the sync… But! The full screen preview is available through the PRINTER button on the second shortcut bar.
