Just got a Samsung s9+ and didn’t realize that it comes with this silly thing called a Bixby…and she gets her own dedicated button?? They already took away the home button and now this. Frustrated, I dug around and came across this app as a solution. First, the free version, which is great. Mapped the old Bixby button to activate the flashlight. Game changer. Brilliant. First class. Quickly bought the Pro version for ALL the options and now have the coolest button around. Enjoy the coffee!
Excellent app, paid for the full version like 1 day in if for no other reason than to simply say thank you. Side note, I’ve got the long press to toggle flashlight from unlocked or locked screen. When I toggle on when the phone is locked, it will not go back off unless I unlock the phone. Clicks off for a split second, then back on. Easy fix, quick fingerprint scan and then it will turn back off. First hiccup I’ve had, not sure if it’s changed with an update or what. Highly recommend
Great app, quickly let’s me remap the bixby button to whatever I like (including Alexa, if you have her installed). Works everywhere except for the Samsung lock screen. It is currently working, and should it stop working, I’ll update my review.
Great app. Unfortunately after the Pie uodate it will open the Bixby app alongside the personalized setting. Is there any way to fix it or to disable Bixby altogether? They removed the disable setting sadly in Pie. I was just wondering if doing the extra computer steps might fix that or if you could fix it in the future.
If you hate Bixby you need this! You can remap the button to have 4 different commands. And if you hate seeing Bxiby for a split second whole you use the remaps plug your phone into your computer and run the file to disable it completely.
Since I don’t have a use for bixby, the Bixby button became the nothing button. But now I finally have not just one but multiple uses for it, fantastic app. I really hope samsung doesn’t patch this though. Edit: Updated to One UI(android 9 for Samsung devices) and the double press function is now gone, it now launches Bixby and cannot be changed, dont know if it’s even possible for dev’s to fix or change this but would great if they could. Bixby is super annoying.
Excellent. Shame that it has to exist at all, but glad it does. Samsung and all other manufacturers need to be shamed into allowing their customers to do what they want with their extremely expensive devices.
