A Way To Slay user reviews :

So I am going to have to call this one. There are various levels that require me to try out various combinations of moves over and over again until I find the right one. But I end up losing track of them after the first 20 combinations. Also it is extremely hard to get 3 stars on some levels due to the auto zooming in with every move. Take that out or make a toggle. Also those ads are about to make me break my device. Make them show up less often. It also needs more visceral gore. It’s too clean

Great concept needs expanding. Essentially Hotline Miami with swords and Superhot’s time mechanic, it’s a lot of fun. The graphics and UI are slick and very well done, the gameplay is simple but I’ve not caught any bugs and it’s very satisfying when you clear a level of all the enemies flawlessly. I’d love a replay mechanic where you could watch your performance in real time. Please include a story in the sequel, more characters with different weapons and moves, boss characters you need to use advanced tactics for. Great work

nice design and perspective but there is no way of knowing which enemy is fast or slow or what order they will attack you in other than the furthest is probably the next best kill. If the enemy are the same distance away you just have to try all different combos until you get it right which gets super boring after a while. itd be better if you had more free movement and could devise strategies.

All fine! The gameplay doesn’t disappoint you. It’s head-scratching. Blood splatters in a calm & serene environment, and that’s awesome. Not like any other silly games which ask you to pay for playing all levels. One who gets it right, conquers the game. So why 3 star, not 5? Because the game play screen is too small to adjust all your enemy characters. You need to swipe to reach them and controls are not that good. This swiping takes time and kills chances of successful level completion with full star.

Strategic slaughter. Some levels are really challenging that I needed to skip. A different approach to be a strategy puzzle game. Probably better to have more variety with the kill animations and a replay to reward player more after accomplishing a hard puzzle.
