I’m running this on Android phones and a tablet. Works OK most of the time. On the tablet, it hangs on Spectrum commercials several times an hour. It hangs in the exact same frame of the commercials. Ironically, they are usually Spectrum commercials for watching TV on the go! If I leave it, occasionally it will resume after a minute or so. If I switch to Home and then back to Live TV, it resume playing live. Other than the freezing, the UI is generally primitive with some poor design choices.

Besides NOT being able to enlarge the app to”full screen” on my Mobile device(which surprisingly enough “does work” with other tv apps, incl. the free ones!) Every time I open the app I have to sign in! I’m not sure whether the updates are making this app better or causing more headaches? The “watch list” used to be a perk, now it has bugs & will only save a certain (small amt.)of shows/movies. Still haven’t fixed the major issues with frequent pic freezing on live tv either!
Update. At first the app was pretty good. Until it started to not record my shows. The app on Roku TV is not user friendly. Every once in awhile it cancels my shows. I have to delete the scheduled recordings and then reschedule the show. Very frustrating. Please fix. Call me. I can help.

I have been running the spectrum TV app for about 2 years now. It has turned out to be a really great app. I run it on Roku, tablets, and even my personal phone. With decent hardware it is fast and reliable and has quickly become a major part of my spectrum experience. If you’re paying for spectrum you should take advantage of this free app and take your TV wherever you want to. Highly recommended. UPDATE: the latest app update 9.13 seems to load a little slower but could be the age of my phone.
Specifically for the Android device and don’t like that video is not centered in full screen mode. It’s aligned to the right edge with a big bank sace to the left. It’s annoying enough when watching on the device, but when you try to stream it to a screen it’s even worse. It displays on the screen that same way which is very distracting and not enjoyable to view. Also, I don’t like that I can’t watch half of my channels when I’m away from home.

nice app, i do like it & have been looking for something to let me watch tv when I’m not home. one rather noticable miss, there seems to be no may to put the app into a “full-screen” node (to remove the channel listings & have the small rectangle at the top fill the whole screen on my mobile phone), only workaround i’ve found so far is a two-step process, close the app then tap the small video to make that full-screen. not a deal breaker, but it’s something to know.

This app has issues with some newer smart Samsung televisions. In my case, using the Samsung remote while on this app, incrementally increasing/decreasing the channel button will cause a channel jump from between 10 – 200 stations. Spectrum informed me that an update will eventually happen on this app. No estimate of how many more months or years before this happens.
