I can’t find a club because the search function isn’t advanced enough. It would be cool to search for a book and it link you to a club that has read that book, or a person so you can start your own club. Edit: I tested the search method outlined below before posting this review, and it doesn’t work.

• Hi Laura, if you search for a book in our app and there is a public club that is reading that book, you will see a link to that club from the book page. We’d love to hear more ideas about how to improve our club search (we are currently working on adding filters) – please feel free to reach out to help@bookclubs.com with any suggestions.

This is a very interesting saga about Koreans living in Japan before WWII, during and after. It follows the lives of one family. I learned about the plight of Koreans that I never knew before. I felt that the author could have tightened up the story. However, it is a saga and held my interest mostly till the end.

so easy to organize our book club! we love that it adds our meetings to our calendars, sends two week and one week reminders, and we love that we can attach our book to the calendar invite. the only thing I wish it did was allow me to invite new members to the existing meetings.

App This app is perfect for any club. Does a lot of the heavy lifting for you. There are a few features I’d love to see: like integrating with a virtual call system, limiting the number of suggested books per member, open polls allowing people to suggest things or vote on already suggested things, etc. Dev This team has been incredibly reponsive, receptive, and assuring when asking questions or making suggestions. Again, I can’t recommend this app enough. It won’t disappoint.

It would be nice to be able to copy and paste a synopsis of each book. Or for the synopses to already be in in the app. Also for there to be an alternate way for people to join a book club if there are issues with the link. Like if they could create an account and search for a book club and request to be a part of it. Besides those little things, this is SUCH an awesome app! Makes everything a lot easier to organize!

• Love that you are enjoying the app! Wanted to come back and update you that we’ve added many of your suggestions. We’ve added summaries and descriptions for thousands of books. You can also now search for a book club on our public Join a Book Club page.

It’s a great way to keep your book club organized!! I wish that a brief summary of the books you want to read would be available, instead of just listing them. I think being able to incorporate that or have it where it is a direct link to the books information page would go a long way! Other than that, the app is close to perfect!
