This app used to be great. Then Roman was forced to sell the club, & the new people have decided to take off everything that was good about it. You can’t get the stats or updates while listening to the match commentary; you can’t see anything onscreen except the club badges. Not even elapsed time, or scoreline! Most of the time, the commentary for the Ladies matches is unavailable, too. Very disappointing.
Downloaded to listen to live matches on up to date Samsung S20. App crashes after every 10-15 seconds, so it’s impossible to keep up. My husband also has the app on his up to date iPhone and the same thing is happening. Have you performance tested live streaming commentary? Can the app handle it, because it really seems like it can’t.
Update: Ever since the sanctions this app has been a shell of what it used to be, missing many of the great secondary functions that kept me coming back. Now it is bare bones and only serves a minimum purpose. Live updates, commentary, video highlights. Best source for Chelsea notifications!
Great app for all the news, live scoring and ability to keep up with the team day to day, but is there possibly an option to choose which team to get news from? I don’t really care about the Women’s team and every time I get a notification about a score, I get very confused cos I thought Chelsea, if there was an option to mute the women’s teams notifications, the app would be perfect.
I mean where to even start. The old version was very simple easy to follow, very few impactful bugs and then they changed it. The new look is ugly, hard to navigate. For some reason they have taken away live audio commentary where you could go off app and listen. Now you have to use the match day live video which just shows the clubs badges and nothing else not even stats. Trying to actually see the other stories on latest is impossible if you on the app via story notification. Overall very poor
Chelsea has always been my favorite football team. I love the app and I want you guys to do more to make the app interactive, detailed and enable viewers even with a paid subscription to view football matches from around the globe.
Bring back the audio only commentary! Since the update I have had nothing but connection issues while trying to listen to the matches. Previously you could lock your phone without interrupting it and even run other apps it was brilliant. This update has ruined all that and this app now causes me more frustration than joy! Change it back and I will gladly give a five star!
Whilst I’m a big fan of Chelsea Football Club, I find both the 5th Stand app and the website patronising and focused purely towards the younger followers. Some of the articles are poor and lack content. You need to employ someone to check both the spelling and grammar in your written content. However, what I find worse of all is that those of us not able to attend games live, or the ever increasing cost Sky, BT Sport etc can’t see the games on the site with out seeing the scores.
Great app. If I don’t get to watch the match live I can always come to the 5th Stand and watch the full match. This is true but sometimes I have to wait for a few days to pass until full match videos are updated.
Great source of info but ‘live’ audio and probably ‘live’ feeds are behind other sites. I get score notifications about 2mins before audio commentary catches up. Updated Dec 2022, so predictor has disappeared, where is the update promised. Now fan chat has disappeared, promised later. REALLY??
The app is good, but the video playback has a problem. I can’t watch half of a full match replay without the app closing by itself and now any video I play, when I try to make it full screen, video stops and kicks me out of the app. Please improve video playback on the next version
