Complete Rhythm Trainer user reviews :

I really enjoy this app! But it would make it awesome if it had the following additional features: 1) a visible metronome (for example the Tap button could blink in time); 2) a note-level precision chart at the end of the reading exercise in the details section; 3) a simpler pre-reading exercise with the common patterns; 4) a setting of the metronome so that you could set it to eighth or sixteenth notes, not just quarter ones. Thanks!

  • Thank you for the feedback. 1) From our tests, sync the display with the sound is not accurate enough for an accurate musician practice. 3) This is what imitation drills just before reading drills are for :) Best, Stéphane.

I’m honestly blown away by helpful this app is. I’ve been playing the piano for 1.5 years, and I can read/understand rhythms, but have felt like actually playing them always requires a bit of effort. I love this app because it makes you imitate, read, and transcribe rhythms in a very natural progression and the way it is gamified makes it feel like a fun challenge. It’s been really helpful to me. When I got through the free content, I was more than happy to pay for the full app.

I really dig it, it’s a very useful tool to practice and strengthen rhythm shapping. The only thing I can think of right now that I have an issue with is that on the free practice section I cant seem to find a way to put on free time (i.e. no way of turning off the accented first beat). Is there any way to do it or for the option to be added? Cheers!

Love this app so far. My one gripe is that in one of the practices where you need to tap the rhythm in real time, the line varies from one measure to 2 measures in one practice. It is a bit annoying for me as a beginner to read ahead when the next line may not be equal to the previous.

This is by far the best rhythm app I have used. The UI is user friendly and the exercises are practical, well made, and extremely useful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a genuine aid to their rhythm practice when they are away from their instrument.

This app is fantastic. Smooth interface, calibration for accuracy, levels that you can practice and repractice that don’t feel inanely repetitive… this app is amazing. On top of that, to unlock the full version of the app it’s incredibly inexpensive. Plus they give you plenty of content to begin with to see if it’s something you would like to
