Goodreads user reviews :

I really like this app and I find it useful but I have a few suggestions to give: 1. would be cool to be able add a quote in your profil 2. disabling the emails you get is a bit of a mess, you need to go to settings to turn off every single type of notification you get on your mail, would be easier to disable all at once or to choose which one you want to keep on. 3. the feed on the app is also a bit of a mess, could look better if you could divide them into types of activities/notification.

Great idea, but unfortunately the app doesn’t work properly. I put a book in a list like currently reading, and the picture of it comes up but it tells me I’m not currently reading anything and won’t let me add it. Also the reading challenge doesn’t work properly, it doesn’t keep track of the books that you finish properly, and I’ve had to make a list elsewhere so I can keep track.

The app used to display works in English, and everytime I would visit am author’s profile his books would appear in order of popularity, and they’d almost allways be in English (which was great). Now, for some reason, almost every book is in a language I don’t understand and when I click an author’s profile the books seem to be displayed in a completely random order, and all in different languages. I don’t have this issue in the web version. Please fix. EDIT: Thanks for the fix, app’s 5 stars.

This app is so bare bones. You cant do everything that the web app can. Examples being: 1. That you can’t see all the editions 2. Edit your profile 3. See any updates of the people/authors you are following on the home page, just to name a few. The big one for me is a better book search system for the app. Not being able to search for all the different editions and isbn’s is really frustrating.

I usually don’t mind the minor bugs on this app, but recently I’ve been having very frustrating issues. Even if a book is on my “Reading” shelf, it still says “Want to Read” in the filters, which means I can’t update the pages or anything. I try to change it, close the app and reopen, refresh a bunch of times, etc. This has been happening for a while now, and I know it’s minor but I like to see the progress and it also doesn’t count towards my yearly reading goal to just mark it as “Read”.

This would be a very good app to record all the books you read. However some titles are blocked from adding them to your reading shelf and when contacting the help service they just theyve blocked people from adding and they’re not doing anything else. This is incredibly frustrating especially if you want to do reading challenges as it messes up the reading counts. Story graph doesn’t seem to have this issue so I’d recommend that app instead. If this wasn’t an issue it would be a higher rated.

When I’m looking through must read lists, I can’t go back to the list once I click on a title to learn more. Anytime I try to go back in the app, it takes me all the way to the main page and not the list the book is in. I’ve tried uninstalling and re-downloading, updating, etc.
