Lost Lands 8 user reviews :

I love these games overall. However, not being able pick up items until the moment you need it is a huge downgrade. It means a lot more keeping track of a bunch of different items and shuttling back and forth between locations repeatedly, aka the parts that I find much less rewarding than both the puzzles and the story. It makes the experience more of a grind. It probably deserves 4 stars, but I’m used to these games being really good, so this unnecessary, annoying change feels frustrating

The production values are reasonably high for a free game. I didn’t rate it higher mainly for two reasons. 1. All the puzzles are basically the and it gets really tedious and boring. They look different but it’s just about sliding pieces around until they’re in the right or or the right place. 2 . The logic to finding clues is too random. Too much guessing, not enough solving.

An utter disappointment. Not being able to pick up items until you need them ruined the entire game. Whoever came up with this idea is a sadist! It’s too frustrating to even get through 1/4 of the game, and I gave up. *Please* release a different version! I’ve played every other 5-BN title, and am shocked they released something so awful. It’s absolutely unplayable without constantly switching back and forth to a walkthrough.

I must say that although the design style may not be the best out there, the game itself is probably the best in the point and click puzzle genre. If you like this kind of game and just like me, can’t handle horror ones just give it a try :) The best part of it is that the main game is free (the hints and the extra story are paid, but they gotta pay them bills right?), and doesn’t have those annoying ads popping up every few minutes. Definitely worth a try

I like this series of games, also liked the introduction of not giving you every clickable item to put in your inventory. Makes you think more than previous lost lands. No longer can you disregard an area you think is just a pop up awaiting the discovery of a morph. Can be frustrating at times because you feel stumped, but the solution dawns on you if you are patient.

I love thses games. Great storyline. The graphics are awesome. I’ve played every one and thoroughly enjoyed all the games in this series. Yet, this one, I found myself a bit frustrated. There is an overly long pause between speaking in the cutscenes. The puzzles are challenging but a little too convoluted. Suggestion: allow the player to choose when to write in the journal.

High quality game, like the rest of the series. Ads if you want or need help. Might be a tad linear, but great for kids! No agenda! It’s just a great storyline with beautiful graphics. Highly recommend the entire series for the whole family! Really appreciate the effort the whole team puts into this series
