[App] Mech Factory

Mech Factory   The Mech Factory offers a complete, searchable, categorized database of Classic Battletech mechs, battle armors, combat vehicles and protomechs, with all relevant stats, histories and record sheets.

It provides information about all Battletech components and their board game rules too, and contains brief descriptions about the CBT powers, fractions, clans, worlds and history. Beside the library the app features a complete Mech and Combat Vehicle Editor, a Roster Editor, a Virtual Record Sheet system and a simplified combat trial simulation to test out new or existing designs.
First time you use this app, a simple graphical tutorial will help your initial steps.

Because this app uses the database of the Mech Factory ( battletech.rpg.hu), it requires internet access to download larger texts or pictures. After you downloaded a design, it will remain on your device, and it will be accessible offline. To enable content downloading you have to register your free account on the Mech Factory (if you don’t have it already). With a valid Mech Factory user name you can use both the web page and the mobile app.

NOTE: Registration is needed to use all the features. That policy we cannot change – it is mostly due security reasons. Read our privacy policy about that, if you are worried about your data. If you have technical problems with registration, please send us your report.
(As a quick fix, please try to uninstall/install, and then register. It might help. Be sure that you are online during the registration process.)

Would give it 5 but for some reason after this update the app is unusably slow. Takes way to long to load mech images and infomation. Would roll the update back if I could. Went from using thing everyday to cant barely stand using it.

An excellent reference app with great Mech, Vehicle, BA and now Aerospace builders. A must have for BT tinkerers on the go! Unfortunately doesn’t seem to support using record sheets in app during a regular game instead of on paper. There is some confusing virtual tabletop thing, but it’s clunky and very much doesn’t seem intended to be used alongside mapsheets and minis.

Glitchy, often stuck at login screen for more than 60 seconds.

Great app and very useful. My only complaints are the need to go back and forth from the database to create a roster or the inability to switch the order of units once placed. Otherwise works great

Great app with a ton of options and bonuses worth the $ to remove ads. I would ask the dev if there was an ability to have a personal mech lost to keep track of your mechs and also have the ability to use the unit generator to create a lance base off of your own mech list.

I look at this app all the time, it’s a great Battletech quick reference and has a lot of cool features.

Hmmmm… Opening tabs, app crashes. Uninstall and reinstalled, problem persists. Hoping it fixes in next update. Edit: problem appears solved. Good, i like this app a lot

the app is very nice, but I have tried 10 times now to make a custom variant of a Marauder mad-3r, swapping the weapons around and adding some heat sinks, I figured out how to assign the new parts to a position, and then saved everything. I go out and sync the sheet and then download the data sheet and export the file as a .text file, but the files will not open? what the heck guys?

I’ve been using this for months to keep track of my mechs, modify canon designs, or make my own, and it’s worked great, both as a mech creation tool and a resource for quick reference. If it had the tools to make tripod mechs and superheavies, I’d rate it 5 stars, but as those features are presently absent and unlikely to be added anytime soon, the software presently doesn’t quite do everything I’d need it to. That said, it’s a relatively minor issue so I still strongly recommend this app.

I’ve been using this app for a number of years across multiple devices including the bookmarked website on my computer. It is my go to for checking details on existing tech (not limiting it to just battlemechs as I use it for aerospace, vehicles and battle armour) As well as non-technical stuff historical information, characters and factions. Invaluable for tabletop war games and role-playing. Awesome app keep up the good work!

Great mobile tool for Battletech, it is always being updated, expanded, and improved upon. If you ever run into any issues, with any part of this app, make sure to get in touch with the developer. They are very dedicated and hard working, and will keep at it in order to help solve your problem, even going as far as to debug the app itself for you. I was a bit weirded out by the login and permissions, but got passed that and this app is amazing! Use it! I’m newer to Battletech and just atarting to build my lance and this is an awesome tool to help build it, especially not knowing all of the possible options. I always have a Sarna tab open with it. It’s a little clunky to use starting out but stick with it and use the help screens. A desktop version would be pretty lit. Let’s go stompy robots!

It’s fantastic. Not much to say other than that. I will say that there is an issue adding Aerospace fighters to rosters. For instance if I try to add a Shilone fighter it will add a strumfeur combat vehicle instead. Very odd.
