RetroArch – Perfectly suited for creating games

[App] RetroArch

RetroArchRetroArch is back!

RetroArch is an open-source project that makes use of a powerful development interface called Libretro. Libretro is an interface that allows you to make cross-platform applications that can use rich features such as OpenGL, cross-platform camera support, location support, and more in the future.

It comes with its own built-in collection of applications to provide you with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for entertainment.

Libretro and RetroArch are perfectly suited for creating games, emulators and multimedia programs. If you want to learn more, go to our website (listed below).

UPDATE (1.1.2):
We listened to all of your feedback over the past week and worked hard to address all the issues that were pointed out to us. This is the much improved refined version that the original should have been!

RetroArch user reviews :

Still Can’t scroll properly Anytime I scroll, the menu goes black and won’t let me select anything. I found a workaround, but its still annoying. Edit: Also Retroarch thinks this is a Nvidia Controller

  • Loading roms on MESS is a complicated process to say the least, we have the core but it’s not really an option yet on android

RetroArch has been an amazing app, but never pretty. While I appreciate the attempt at making a more cohesive design, the current one just isn’t pleasant to use, especially for touch. There should really be sliders for things like adjusting button size or simple + and – buttons. Material Design standards might be helpful for this redesign. Done well, they are great for almost any input method as shown by Google apps, and that seems to be the ultimate goal here. Looking forward to future updates:)

Everything Flawless but 16-bit CD Systems on my Tegra K1 Love the new style! It’s very mobile facing. And everything works (except SEGA CD & PC Engine CD); even PSX & 32X! Keep it up.
