I like the app. I’ve been using it for about 2 years and I purchased a lifetime subscription. Recently, after an app update, I’ve been having a problem with the notification features in the app (I use an Android phone and no longer get notifications for messages). I’ve contacted Customer Support several times over the past approximately 4 weeks and have gotten no response.

What happened to notification lights? They have stopped showing up and when I went back into settings, I can’t find it anywhere. I know I was once able to configure the color of the notification light and I KNOW that this was working on this exact same phone a while back. It gets annoying. if I walk away from my phone for a couple minutes, I have NO clue at all that a message came in. having to check your phone every minute just in case you missed the vibrate kind of defeats the entire purpose of push notifications.

It has great potential. It has some places where it needs improvement. Let me begin with saying I use it almost daily as communications between my desktops, phone, tablet, and laptop. Sometimes it tells you you are online but you aren’t. It is hit and miss (mostly miss) for sending pictures. There is no way to see who else has Trillian to be able to enlarge your circle of friends. Bottom line, if you need something basic this is great but if you need something more than just the basics, no

Really like it when it works. When I first downloaded this app it worked perfectly. Now it’s a guessing game as ti whether it will ever sign me in again. And if it does manage to all my settings are gone and I have to reset all my favorites. It works perfectly otherwise, but first you have to get passed signing in. So frustrated.

Randomly decides to fire off notifications for multiple messages that were already recieved, often multiple times. If you switch to another app and come back it likes to jump to the top of a conversation and make you manually scroll to the most recent messages. occasionally still gives notifications even if actively using the desktop client. Nice layout and does work as an IM client, but too many long standing annoying bugs.

I have used Trillian for a long time and find it very useful. Texting is a modern necessity but can get cumbersome. It’s always nice to have Trillian to switch over to. My son hates cell phones and won’t have one. That’s when Trillian came in really handy. I love being able to view my past conversations. The group chat feature is awesome. Two of my friends had never heard of it until I introduced it to them. They love it now!

Photos taken with the photo app frequently are in the wrong orientation when I try to send them, despite being correct in the phone’s gallery app. Discord and Messenger don’t do this even if I send the exact same photo. Also signed out frequently even though it’s set not to turn off with battery optimization, meaning that I can’t just share using the Android menu half the time. I have to go back and do it again. Please fix!

Great service, simple and easy to navigate. Doesn’t draw too much power from the phone. The service does not offer cloud chat logs for free accounts but I keep it running on my desktop to keep track of my logs when I’m away, so I hardly find that an issue. Purchasing pro services is the only way to get cloud save chat logs.
