Octopath Traveler user reviews :

Everything so far has been fantastic, the battle system is very fun and nonrestrictive, and enemies are well balanced, it feels just like the original game. There’s also almost no pressure to spend money which I really appreciate. I only have 2 issues so far; the frequency of getting feats and repeatedly going through the menu is exhausting, and leaving the app for longer than 10 seconds will send you back to the starting menu which can be frustrating. Hopefully those can be worked on.

Game is fun to play. Good music, pretty fun battle systems and not overly stressed since it’s an offline game and you can play at your own pace. Only downside is, the loading in the title screen takes way too long and also you can’t skip the introductions of new heroes you get. If you do a 10pull you have to see what each one of them says without a skip option. Also the controls can be quite annoying too. Overall pretty good game so far.

I played through chapter 1 and it was very good! The music is great and also a feel of nostalgia to it! The combat system is both familiar and new all at once. The way to gain information from NPCs is new, at least for me, and a different challenge. As for the purchasing, I would love to support the game. Just not under these world circumstances right now. They are over priced as the world currency continues to plumet. Otherwise, great game in a degrading world. Thanks for a great game!

This is everything I wanted it to be to deal with that Octopath Traveler itch. What Triangle Strategy couldn’t fulfill, this did. Still the gorgeous art style with an easy to understand system. The only issues I’ve had are lag in the title screen and feats menu, as far as gameplay. The paid currency is very expensive, but with a slow grind, you can manage a bit. Overall, I’m having a good time so far!

My experience has been pretty positive with this game. There are some things that need to be fixed like small lags or slightly longer loading screens than I’d like but overall it’s been smooth. The biggest addition that I would say the game needs is a skip cutscenes option, because if there’s a whole party wipe or the game crashes then it means the player has to rewatch the cutscene again. However, that feature is something that can hopefully be implemented into the game as it goes.

It’s finally here. First impressions are good. It does feel like Octopath. Familiar but unique combat, interesting story, and the obviously beautiful graphics. And the music doesn’t disappoint at all. Just like the original, the new themes are amazing (Tytos Theme is my favorite). The skills system seems to be simplified in comparison to the original Octopath (as far as I can tell), but still has enough depth to create some fun combinations. Will update in the future, but I’m enjoying it so far.
