Repton 3 – Wise to block it in before it spreads wild

[Game] Repton 3

Repton 3  Repton 3 takes the popular Repton 1 idea of level-by-level play, adds most of the extra Repton 2 characters, and brings in time capsules, fungus and crowns. The time capsules allow for some cunning time-based puzzles, while the fungus is also a time-related feature – it’s often wise to block it in before it spreads wild.

The game includes some easy levels as well as more challenging ones, so it’s ideal for everyone from children to seasoned puzzlers!

Here are some of the comments about Android Repton 3 from the the Google Play Store 5-star reviews: “Excellent game” / “Another Superior hit!” / “THANK YOU THANK YOU X You guys are amazing … The minute I got my email saying it was out I felt like a child in a candy store lol I ran to the play store and got it so once again thank you.” / “An absolute ton of content, new and old, will keep me going for years!” / “5 Stars. Repton 3 user reviews :

I don’t like the attempt to modernize the game. Distracts from the puzzles. Played almost all the games from repton 1, except the puzzles that are unsolvable. Maybe this attracts time players, but not me. Avalanch Bob is an example of one that is unsolveable. the puzzle near the bottom right corner specifically.

  • Repton players are given full choice of graphics style (modern or classic) and timed or untimed mode in the Settings menu. Many players prefer the modern graphics; if you prefer classic, simply select that option. We confirm that all Repton puzzles are solvable, including Avalanche Bob. Got 1 and 3 first and couldn’t wait for this to become available. Best puzzle ever, so far. Well done

from easy levels to hard levels to downright seemingly impossible levels. awesome game…

  • Thank you very much for the 5-star review, Munkee Boy! We’re very pleased you like the software.
Fabulous rewrite of the original that I enjoyed many years ago on the BBC Micro…. My only gripe, needs a save/resume function…UPDATE: one year on, desperately needs a save game function…

  • Thank you very much for the 5-star rating, Stewart. We are considering your suggestion.
Please can you make the game rotate horizontaly and can you make the Repton 3 editor as I loved making my own mazes, thanks.

  • Thank you for your comments, Guy. The game can be played in landscape orientation by starting the game in landscape mode. Although we’re not currently envisaging an Android editor, the Windows PC version features a full Repton 3 Editor for creating your own levels and graphics.
Played this many years ago , enjoyed playing very much

  • Thank you very much, Dawn. When you have time, please update your Repton 1 review.
I have very nearly finished all of the levels in Android Repton 1, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Therefore I couldn’t resist buying Repton 3 any longer. The amount of effort that goes into creating the puzzles alone is enormous and that makes the Mega Bundle an absolute bargain. Plays beautifully, presented very well and the only game I need on my phone for a year or so!

  • Thank you very much, Dave.
Great game only let down by poor controls. If there was an option to resize arrows it’d be a definite 5* – they are too small on a QHD display

  • We find that the game controls generally work very well. We will look into the point you described, Stephen. Which device / screen resolution are you using, please?
