Why WordPress?

There are a lot of blogging services, website builders, and social networks out there. Why create your website with WordPress?

WordPress powers over a third of the web. It’s used by hobby blogs, businesses of all sizes, online stores, even the biggest news sites on the internet. Odds are that many of your favorite websites are running on WordPress.

With WordPress, you own your own content. Other social networks treat you as a commodity, and assume ownership of the content you post. But with WordPress anything you publish is yours, and you can take it with you wherever you’d like.

Whether you need a website builder to create your website, or a simple blog maker, WordPress can help. It gives you beautiful designs, powerful features, and the freedom to build anything you want.

WordPress user reviews :

All in all a perfect app for just typing up your blog posts, and sending them out to the world; like little love letters to existence. I do miss having it be an all in one deal, where you could read new blogs, and follow them, too. But it’s not a dealbreaker that you need to use a different app for it. Just a little separation of work and leisure is all.

Ok, but features on web version missing from app, that shouldn’t be. (Both WordPress and Jetpack.) Portfolio, for example. It is a special type of post, but still a post. And so it should be able to be used in-app, but isn’t present. (Even when portfolio is enabled on the web version.) Makes it a real pain when a site is primarily made of portfolio post/pages.

10th March 23: Great app for doing posts, and sharing them easily. Such a shame that soon I will need the Jetpack app to get some features. It’s better to keep these features in the main app especially for people who have older devices or ones with limited internal storage of 32gb or 64gb, even with 120gb and lots of apps storage fills up over time. Keep this feature in the main app and I will give full stars again.

I like that I can write blog posts on the app and manage my media, but I do miss jetpack being on this app. I really don’t want an extra app on my phone, so I’m not planning to install it. What annoys me more is the persistent red dot over notifications in the app and not being able to clear it out despite tapping it and reading the spiel to download Jetpack. Maybe it’s better for my mental health to not conveniently see me stats?
