Charles Spurgeon was an English Baptist preacher, well known for his sermons.

Spurgeon, “The Prince of Preachers” was born in Essex in 1834. He was baptized and began to serve in a Baptist Church.

When he was 20, he became pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel in London, the largest Baptiste congregation at the time. He preached there for 38 years.

His style and ability as a preacher made him famous in a few months. His sermons were published every week and had a high circulation.
By the date of his death, in 1892, he had preached more than 3000 sermons and had written plenty of commentaries, anecdotes, and devotions.

His weekly sermons are still one of the best-selling series of writings in history.

Spurgeon Bible commentary user reviews :

Hard to find a full spurgeon commentary verse by verse, and free on top of it. If this was just a trial I would have bought it. Awesome

Thank you for this resource! My only complaint is that the pages sometimes switch to the adjacent chapter automatically with the slightest touch

I was studying John 12 but the app kept jumping either back to chap 11 or ahead to 13. Of course, when i went back to chap 12 it started at verse one so i had to contiuously scroll down to verse 41 or wherever i was currently at. Was very time consuming just to keep my place and frankly, quite annoying.

Very reader friendly commentary as expected from the ‘Prince of preachers’ ! Makes my Bible study time precious and enjoyable

Wonderful for studying. Love it immensely! I use it for sermons, Bible study and many other activities. Wonderful app!

I enjoy this daily as i walk in the light it helps me stay focused on the path in which i have chosen. Thank you for your hard work in developing something that will help and be enjoyed by many

Great to be able to see the commentary as you read the bible. Bookmarking is not intuitive. App does not remember where you left off previously or I would have given it 4 stars

Spurgeon’s notes help us to look inward at self, and teaches us to think on GOD’S word, and to bring out more thought about what his word is saying to us for deeper understanding. A great tool for new Christians!

This Bible commentary is extremely easy to understand and the author did an awesome job with explaining the Word of God, I would highly recommend this commentary to my friends and family.

What a difference 2 years makes with this app. Found it intolerable back then. Just spent over an hour in it and find it to be quite the blessing!

I’m enjoying the content and layout but there’s a Glitch which causes the app to lose my place while I’m reading. Slightest touch to random parts of the screen takes me back or forward by a chapter when I’m swiping up to read further down the page, or sometimes I haven’t touched the page at all. It’s almost like a timer. Also, I thought I would be able to change the background color. I prefer darker so I don’t use this app as much as I’d like to because the bright white bothers my eyes.
