Cube Escape Collection user reviews :
I barely ever leave reviews, so if I do, it’s either terrible or fantastic. Based on my rating you could guess which. The rusty lake cube escape series is simply a must if you like logic games, puzzles, escape rooms, mysteries, any or all of these. It simply ticks all the boxes. The fact this game is free on playstore is mind boggling. The past is never dead, it is not even past.
I always look at reviews before downloading a new game. I’m impressed with the company for responding as often as they do. The game itself is simple, with short levels designed for diversions, not lengthy sessions. Simple… not easy. AppUnwrapper is a huge help when I get stuck, although the devs have a help system in place too. Music and graphics are also simple, but effective in creating atmosphere. DON’T PLAY THIS BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP! They really did a good job with the artistic stuff
The game is designed in a way to make you get stuck at some puzzles and use the clue button to fill the devs pockets (good intention, horrible way of achieving it) and hence the lack of a star. However that’s the only annoying thing and the rest of the game is amazing and I love it. Great puzzles, visuals and music.
I remember playing some of these games on kongregate back in the day, but replaying through them still manages to be a fresh and fun experience which holds up remarkably well today. The puzzles in each of the 9 games in this collection are all so wonderfully made to be challenging yet easy to understand. Not to mention the hand drawn art style which truly gives this series an eerie feeling is absolutely magnificent. I would highly recommend downloading this collection and giving it a shot.
Great puzzle. Not too easy either (which is even better). I sometimes have to put it away and come back with fresh eyes, so it really tests your thought process. Thankfully you can get a hint (though they don’t always help that much) and they are free if u watch an ad. Great game, don’t want to complete it, if I’m honest.
This game is very complex and well-planned. I have just a few gripes: 1. The homepage layout doesn’t give any hint that the puzzles are sequential, but they are. In a few places you can only solve if you know things from other levels. 2. A few times, the reason I was stuck is because an image/animation didn’t show up. I had to click where I knew a cube would be from a video, even if I couldn’t see it. 3. Without videos, this would take me years. The clues aren’t intuitive every time.
- Thanks so much for playing and for your great feedback, Joseph! We did want to leave it open to the player to decide which order they would like to play the chapters in, the hints and puzzles connecting them are for unlocking all achievements. We are looking into the visual bugs, a quick fix, for now, is to set the quality to Low from the menu!
its really good! Some of these puzzles can get a bit confusing but they DO always have a clue to lead you in the right place so technically its not random but needs you to be observant and look around. The story is also amazing! Hope there’s more chapters soon!!!!! My only complaint is that I WISH we were given a notepad to keep track of our own thoughts and hints for just the items.
- Thank you so much for playing Cube Escape Collection and for sharing your experience with our game! We’re thrilled you enjoy the story and the puzzles and thank you for your feedback!
Omg I needed this. I literally like remember when each one of these games came out in the beginning and I just fell in love with it. It was as if “everything [it] touched, it changed” for the better. The music is great and the art is as well, and all the puzzles are so logical and wierd that it sometimes takes a bit to realize what is asked. It is after my experience that rusty lake has a certain set of rules that make no sense, but the more u play the more sense it will make. Play every one 6x
- Thank you so much for this incredible review! We appreciate your continued support, and we’re so happy you still enjoy all the elements that make up our Cube Escape series! Thank you!
