The Rapture invasion came without warning. It was both ruthless and overwhelming.
The reason: unknown. No room for negotiations.
In what seemed like an instant, the earth was turned into a sea of fire. Countless humans were hunted down and slaughtered without mercy.
None of mankind’s modern technology stood a chance against this colossal invasion.
There was nothing that could be done. The humans were laid to waste.
Those that managed to survive found one thing that gave them the smallest glimmer of hope: the humanoid weapons.
However, once developed, these new weapons were far from the miracle everyone needed. Instead of turning the tide, they only managed to make a minor dent.
It was a complete and utter defeat.
Humans lost their homeland to the Rapture and were forced to live deep underground.

Decades later, a group of girls awakens in the Ark, mankind’s new home.
They are the result of the collective technological knowledge pooled together by all the humans driven underground.
The girls board an elevator to the surface. It has not been operated for decades.

I want to like this, I really do. The post-apocalyptic story is great. The premise is very endearing. The characters are also charming and memorable. HOWEVER! The game is riddled with errors. Ever since the first update, system errors, failed to sync, disconnected from server, etc. The list is endless. Not to mention, people have discovered that almost all Nikke skills/abilities don’t work as described. Launch rewards were a lie. 110 pulls but include all main story rewards. It’s very stingy.

Good game, but it has a few glitches. Some small ones such as the music stuttering during loading screens to major ones that just stop the game from working until you re-launch the game. Bugs aside, great gameplay and story, very “good” characters, and your regular gacha system. There’s a paywall, but it’s not too big, so free-to-play is still a viable option. Overall, great game, but it needs to iron out these bugs.

Time in the game so far has been both fun and exasperating. Models and art are excellent and I could stare at the game for a good while. Music is solid and gameplay is rather fun tactically. The issues come from a lack of control. For one there is alot of stuff in the interface not really explained to you until you find it. Another is there is no skip button as of chapter 4 which is horrible because battles drag on and you are expected to do alot of battles. even the auto switch is bad.

Game is fun. But it requires lots of patience. Upgrading nikkes is expensive and getting the materials means waiting for the idle aspect of the game to give you enough of them. Ran into A bug where the game doesn’t properly register the personal stories with nikkes. I end up having to rewatch stories, get an error message, and repeating the process until I get to the current chapter. It happens every time I load up the game. Hope it gets fixed eventually.
