The face scan is broken. I know it’s hard to pull off. But I’ve done it successfully in 2k19, 2k20, and 2k21. I know it is finicky and that you will probably have to do it more than once to get it just right. I have always eventually been able to make it look 95 percent like me. Every year and it looks always super realistic. I can always get it to look as close to me as i possibly could. I can get it to look like me in the 2k player creator than I ever could in any other game. Not this year.
At first the app didn’t work at all, like it wouldn’t even download. The downloaded reach 19% and then it would just stop and nothing would happen so I did all over the basic troubleshooting, out of nowhere It finally downloaded. Then I actually scanned my face, and it was….terrible. I looked up some tips, and it sounds like using natural light outdoors is the way to go. And come to think of it, I had done my scan outdoors for 2k20 & 2k21 if I’m not mistaken. If it goes well, I’ll update

The app doesn’t even fit to the screen and claims it’s optimized for full screen. We spend so much money every year just for them to fix one piece of the problem at a time
Horrible experience. Don’t know if it’s the app or the game. Tried to do face scan for close to 24 hours straight, and everytime I apparently did something wrong. FED UP!!! A few more tries (maybe) and I think that I’ll be giving NBA Live another shot after all of these years… And I Love 2K!!! Has to be a better experience than this.
Trash….face scan is horrible. Cam stretches out face making it impossible to get a good face scan, and no matter how slow u turn ur head, it misses a box. If the scan doesn’t turn out looking like a monster, it says it didn’t work and to retry making sure u read the instructions carefully. As if the instructions are confusing or hard? It’s not lack of following instructions, it’s lack of the app working.
Took almost an hour to get logged in without an error. Them find out the actual card game is gone. This is just a face scan app that works very poorly. You can also enter locker codes, but that never worked in the apps I’m years past so it probably doesn’t work now since the whole app is just copy and pasted from previous versions.
Hello, I’m sending this because I’ve been having trouble logging into my nba2k22. My reason for wanting access is so that I could try out the face scan feature. I own the NBA 2k22 on the current generation Xbox One, and I can’t seem to make it past the login screen. I click on the Xbox icon and I put in my Microsoft information but it sends me back to the previous screen. It then stays on the screen where you choose your network and it tells me that I’m unable to login due to an error.
The app has been out for months now and the camera still isn’t fixed? I’m on the Pixel 5. It’s the same problem as last year. It stretches vertically so the scans are useless. I used to get it to work last year by backing out to the main menu and going back in over and over until the camera was normal. This year that doesn’t work at all
Just as all the other reviews stated. Absolutely trash on Android. Have a Note 10+. Before starting, i reset my phone to clear the cache and cleaned the lens. Multiple attempts failed everytime. I remember 1 year this app worked amazing.. last year was a struggle and ultimately gave up after a few days. Didnt even waste more then an hour trying and stopped. Sad that nobody cares
Unlike last year, I was actually able to access the app, so that’s an upgrade in my opinion. The face scan wasn’t very accurate, but again, I at least got it too work. Also the ability to type in locker codes from the app helps out a ton.
Face Scan Does Not Work no matter how good your camera on your phone is unfortunately. Using the front or rear end cam on the phone makes no difference. The Scan is not even close to accurate even in the best lighting or setting. Use a tripod for your phone to keep the phone steady and still bad scans. Hopefully the Devs of this app get a chance to update the scanner to make it more accurate. The face scanner ain’t it right now..needs more tlc. Other than that this is a decent NBA 2k22 app.
