Notification Light Widget is a tool to enable/disable LED notification light on Android devices.

Notification Light : On some devices (such as Motorola Droid RAZR HD), a small number of users found that the notification light was disabled after logging into their google account if it was disabled previously on other devices with the same google account. This widget restores the ability to control the light on devices without an exposed setting.

On other android devices that already support control of the LED notification light, this widget could also be used as a convenient tool to enable/disable the LED notification light from the homescreen.

The widget works as design. If Smart Actions was able to control the light, it would get 5 stars!.

Now if we can get this to work as a Smart Action rule so it will automatically turn off the beacon at night so I can sleep. Very happy to see the widget though.

The notification light wakes me up sometimes at night blinking…this is handy. Could be a bit prettier!

I too would see the blinking beacon at night. Since I use the Nexus as my alarm clock, I didn’t flip it over to front side. A brief test of sending myself emails indicates this will solve my blinking night light. I’m sure to score a couple of bonus points from the good wife as well.

Like others have said, this now needs to be an added function in SmartActions. A toggle in the Quick Settings would even better. Otherwise this is excellent and does what it says.
