About the new permission SuperUser:
This permission is now requested to make Total Commander work better on rooted devices. It tells the SuperUser app that Total Commander suports root functions. It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.

Total Commander User Reviews:
I’m using the Windows version since it was called Windows Commander and I was thrilled when Mr. Ghisler announced the development of the Android version. I used the beta, then RC versions and I upgraded to the final version as soon as it appeared on the Google Play. Also the FTP and LAN plugins are just great!
I really like this file explorer. It gives the intuitively of Total Commander for PC. Only wish is that an actual swipe gesture is implemented for switching between trees. Now you have to slide over halfway. Swipe gesture would enhance my experience a lot. Besides that, it’s excellent. Thanks a lot!
If only it had more root functions like chown, it would be the ultimate file manager! Do it Christian!
experienced user for Total Commander in windows. Good to see tc in now on android! Thanks for your work Mr Ghisler!
I’ve been using tc (and previously windows commander) as the only file manager on windows (and I’d really love to see it on Linux as well). Thank you for this app, it really is worth using!
Its quick! Light! Tons of features! And its free! Where is the donate button?! I wanna support work like these…devs like these should be millionaires!
this is a must-have on all the supported platforms. I’ve been using the PC version since early Windows Commander versions, then the Windows Mobile port and finally after being beta for some time, the Android version arrives here in the Play Store. Kudos to Christian Ghisler.
