It’s OK, but piss poor account management. The app works alright if you send your travelling bookings to the plans email. But the biggest issue is syncing the password between the mobile app and their website. If I try to reset the password, the reset link goes to their Web app, and it doesn’t seem to sync with the Android app. I tried resetting from my laptop and it worked but then I couldn’t log back in. It’s pretty poor. But as a free app, I’ll probably keep it for now.
Love love love it, the only thing I have problems with is points tracker, which wouldn’t be an issue if there was a way to update program points manually. Since so many companies require extra forms of verification I recieve more error messages than success messages and even forwarded emails seem to have issues – please add ability to manually update points.

I dont see any benefit to pro. It seems a lot to pay just for flight notifications. We already get that from the airline. I would like to be able to add more than 3 photos/pdf so that everything is in one place. It’s a little archaic not to. Also, it’s a trip planner, add a packing list. Again, so it’s all in one place. This is my 1st time using this app and I’m travelling in 11 days. I’ll edit when I return!
Lots of bells and whistles but… It’s great that this app automates many of the tedious tasks of travel planning but what I wanted was a tool to manage tickets and QR codes for all of the activities for a family of 4 on a tour of Italy. Adding events to an itinerary is easy but the free app limits the number of documents one can attach to a trip to three. Really? Paying for the pro version will allow one to add up to 25 documents but even that is restrictive. Disappointing. And unnecessary.
I took a much more complex trip than I usually get recently – 3 cities, 5 hotels, trains and planes and car rentals and taxis.. Booked either directly or through at least 2 agencies, by either one of two people. It’d have been a nightmare to keep track of all that manually. I frequently had to edit details after imperfect pickup from confirmation emails, but at least the basics were there. Tripit made the whole endeavor MUCH smoother, I won’t attempt travel without it in the future.
Does a great job managing all your trip data in one place, so you have it easily accessible while traveling. Import by email feature works great too. Only issue is editing international flights over the date line. It thinks it is an input error to arrive before you leave… Which of course is possible.
I’ve used TripIt for several months–online, on my Android tablet, and on my Windows Phone. I can’t imagine travelling without it.
