[App] WiFi Automatic known in the past as WiFi Auto-Off

  This simple app can help you increase the standby time of your device: WiFi Automatic automatically disable your WiFi radio when you don’t need it and thereby lowers the battery consumption.

You can also specify to automatically turn on WiFi again, if you turn on your device or when you enter a specified location (requires a cell radio and therefore does not work on WiFi-only tablets!).

Also, the app can regularly scan for available networks to connect to and re-disable WiFi if no suitable network is found.

This way, you are always connected to your WiFi network when using the device.

A WiFi connection generally uses less power than a mobile data connection, so on your phone, it makes sense to keep the WiFi radio active, whenever a WiFi network is in range

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – is required to start the service again when rebooting your device

To be able to turn WiFi on at specified times WITHOUT the need for internet via mobile data (as per some!) I find EXTREMELY useful. Many other options available e.g. location or unlock. Would have been a bonus to be able to specify days of the week as well.

This app works as it should. For those who found the problem: wifi turned on itself but you didn’t enable automatic turn on in this app, please disable your wifi setting “Turn on Wi-Fi automatically” in your Wi-Fi preferences. That was my problem and I thought this was useless app, but it’s not. This app does help me when I fall asleep and forgot to turn off the wifi. So I can sleep well without getting notification from social media. Thanks for making this app. *Sorry for my bad English.

Fantastic Pokemon Go Tool At my office if I have WiFi enabled it has me in my building, if not enabled it had be about 100 meters away. By using this to turn it on and off, along with the caffeine app to keep the screen on, I “walk” about 5 km a day just sitting! Set it to turn wifi on every five minutes, and to turn it off if not connected to a network every five minutes and it’ll just cycle back and forth.

Great Tool for Saving Data I some times need to turn off wifi if I am just leaving my house where the signal drops off. This app ensures that wifi gets turned back on when I use the device again or when X time passes. A great help!

Excellent Despite having ‘Keep wifi on during sleep’ to “Never” the battery graph in settings shows that it was still on. Not any more thanks to this app.
