In the Russian set, you have both male and female voices, which are excellent, by the way. However, Russian verbs in the past tense are categorized by masculine and feminine endings. If a female voice is speaking in the past tense, she always uses the masculine form of the verb, if she is speaking as the subject, which is incorrect. This should be fixed as soon as possible. It’s a minor distraction, but if you don’t know Russian, and you use the incorrect form, hilarity will ensue.

The pixelated theme, the 8bit sounds fx, and the level-up gameplay give to this app certain charm. Im a Spanish speaker learning english. I notice a lot of mistakes in Spanish sentences. But, despite the Spanish grammar mistakes I’m willing to try it. They claim to help advanced speakers. So let’s see what happens. EDIT: I bought the month subscription. Three hours later of practice I notice as well that there is a huge chunk of advanced vocabulary missing.

The app does not properly display the correct number under “playing”. The website shows completely different figures when I log in. I have emailed support and still not received a response. I have actually completed 1427 sentences, but it displays 1238. I would like to know what happened to the missing 189 sentences.

Radio mode should still be there! Sorry for the trouble. It depends on the voices you have available on your phone for the base language – might you have installed an update or made any changes recently? If you’d like to write in to support[at]clozemaster.com we’d be happy to try helping further.

I used to love this app, but it no longer works correctly. The interface works but when you click on play, nothing happens. It’s like the databases aren’t loading. I hope this gets fixed.

Lots of translation mistakes. For example: Bana biraz para lazım (which means I need some money) and their hilarious translation: I need some help. It is very misleading. There are literally hundreds of such mistakes. Of course you can report it but it won’t be corrected. Especially if you start learning a language don’t use this app.

Thanks for letting us know about the issue with that sentence – we’ll get it fixed! Please do report any others you see. There may be the occasional translation error, but our moderator team aims to fix them as quickly as possible. Clozemaster is also ideally played with the translations turned off so all your focus is on your target language.

It’s not bad…..but the Google log in option is definitely broken. It keeps saying “This email account has already been taken.” And doesn’t log me in.

Pretty good though I weary of the standard text-to-speech voices after awhile. It’s a bit annoying that you can’t correct mistakes without buying the paid version.

Good concept, but in my experience (doing Spanish with multiple choice) there are just too many that have multiple valid answers but only one is accepted as correct. A bit carelessly made.

There is typically one answer that’s best suited for a given sentence, even if occasionally other words might also fit. That said – the real challenge is playing text input where alternative answers can be accepted and you can also add your own.
