very helpful. i am able to touch words or phrases in the subtitles and see their meaning in real time.there are many languages available as well and you can find shows from specific countries. this is good for spanish as there arr variatiins of words and phrases. it is a good app and i like it. the reasons i didnt put 5 stars is the selection is limited, there is high latency when i start the show and when I go back a few seconds.

they made huge improvements in terms of UX and app usability. I remember trying it the first time a couple of months ago and now it s a completely different experience. I wish there were more learning modes and the app and videos loaded more quickly but let s see how it develops over time.

I had it for about a year and hardly used it because when I would study I would try to write down every word it didn’t know which got exhausting and I would only do a few minutes. now I just click on the translation of each word I don’t know and continue with watching, and I can’t believe I never did this before. I’m learning so much and so fast! the flashcards and quizzes are super helpful too.

I’m happy there’s an app for this. I’ve been using it on and off on the computer for over a year. A problem I just noticed is that when it auto-pauses the subtitles disappear, so you don’t get extra time to read them. Will a fix come?
