Quick Guide:
1. Install spacedesk DRIVER software for Windows Primary PC (server).
Download: www.spacedesk.net
2. Install this app – spacedesk (remote display) app for Secondary Machine (client).
3. Open spacedesk (remote display) app and connect to your Windows Primary PC (server).
Network connection: Server and client must be on the same LAN and/or WAN.
Alternative connections:
via Mobile Hotspot
via USB Tethering
Note: Does NOT need internet connection!

The Primary Machine (Windows network display server)…
…runs Windows 10 or Windows 8.1. Macs are not supported.
Dual monitor and multi monitor configurations are supported.
Needs spacedesk drivers installed. Download: www.spacedesk.net

The Secondary Machine or Device (Android network display client)…
…is an Android tablet, phone or device running the spacedesk Android app.

The network…
…connects Windows Primary Machine to Secondary Machine or Device over LAN (Local Area Network e.g. Ethernet) and/or WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network).
Network connection can be wired or over WiFi. TCP/IP network protocol is required.

For me, it worked ‘right out of the box’. I use it with a macro key wireless mouse for recording myself remotely. That way I can keep my mic away from the PC noise. Is there lag? YES. Maybe a better internet conection would improve that? (mine is 100mb/s) I think the app works far better if you set the resolution lower. At the expense of work space, this increases the size of apps, for better visibility and get you fewer skipped frames. Each frame contains less info so can be sent quicker.

Hi Hxarh, no internet connection required to operate spacedesk. It just need to be in the same network(WAN,LAN), via hotspot or USB tethering. Really good app and the only free option that I’ve found to work as expected. There are some minor annoyances like lack of multitouch support and some minor input lags but after all It had really helped me to boost productivity by using my old tablet as a second screen without buying an extra monitor (which I don’t have the money to do it for now) EDIT: Now it has multitouch

Please update to the newest version of BOTH spacedesk Driver software for Windows PC AND spacedesk Viewer software for Android from Google Play Store. New version has full multitouch functionality. To reduce lags, please also check chapter “Performance Tuning” in the instruction manual: spacedesk.net/user-manual

The best remote control tool I’ve found. It’s way more responsive than RDP solutions and almost as responsive as Moonlight. But in contrast to Moonlight, it can actually work like a touch screen (e.g. scrolling with one finger). The only minor gripes I have is that a) for some reason, if you move the hamburger menu overlay, it doesn’t save the last location b) there’s only constant machine discovery or adding manually – no saving of previously used connections, so one can turn off discovery.
