The entire point of white noise is to run all night or run until you turn it off. Unless you put a timer on, it seems to only run for a 30 minutes or so. I would expect it to run unlimited or it stops if you put on a timer. Being able to mix your white noise sounds is a good feature. But it stopping automatically if you forget your timer is a fatal problem.
App was updated to make you watch two obnoxious full screen commercials every time you want to hit ‘play’ on a sound clip. To get past them you have to wait 10sec for a “next ad” arrow-button to appear, watch another commercial, wait for the “next ad” arrows to appear, then wait for the close ads button to appear. Super anti-relaxing way to gatekeep a relaxation app. Do not recommend anymore. Find a different white noise app.
I prefer by far the original experience, just a simple sound mixer that allowed to relax at night to sleep. With the new experience the ads are annoying, with the original you’d barely get 1 or 2 and those were totally acceptable. Please do listen to everyone leaving comments and reviews, just keep it as it is, sometimes simpler things are amazing.
I use this app every night, all night. Pros: it has a timer so you can have the rain go off right before your alarm. And you can customize your sound preferences. CONS: every now and then the rain just randomly stops and you have to re-open the app. Very frustrating when it happens in the middle of the night while you’re asleep! And also. I wish the rain would fade off when the timer ends, instead it just abrubtly stops.
I USED to love this app. Then they decided to fill it with ads without fixing any of the issues it has. After 15 minutes of playing, the audio will get quieter for no reason and after a couple hours it has a very high chance of just turning itself off. The ads are extremely obnoxious, last thirty seconds each, require clicking “x” three times to close them, and the “x” button opens the app store 99% of the time anyway. Seems like a classic case of money over quality
I like the different options you can use on this app. It really helps me sleep a lot. Edit: I have to now give this 3 stars. Reason why is because here for awhile now I get nonstop ads when I set a timer and/or start playing it. It really is annoying. There’s some ads where I can’t even click out of it. Quite often it would also shut off randomly at night for some reason and would sometimes wake me up. I hope one day this can be fixed because this is ridiculous having those things happen
This app was great – 5 stars – and I used it often until they recently allowed advertisements to take over the screen without an exit button. It takes multiple attempts to get out of the ad screen. It wastes productivity time and is EXTREMELY frustrating. Guarding writing/study time from distractions is the reason I use the app, so their advertisements are self-defeating. The next time it happens, I’m deleting the app.
Good sound choices with easy mixing. The sounds are steady with no noticeable looping, and they play until you pause it. I put this on every device. Great app! === UPDATE === With the latest update, forced ad-watching is required when you start and stop it. I usually get it ready to play right before bed.. Then, I start it in the middle of the night with one click if I wake up. But now I’m forced to watch ads and navigate buttons while half asleep in a dark room. This is terrible. I downgrade to 3 stars from 5, and I will be looking for something else. Too bad, this was a perfect App.
