Kids Reading : The paid version has 15 extra words in the first and the third activities as well as child-lock functionality that can be enabled in Preferences.

Please note that child lock functionality is not available on tablets.

Kids Reading (Preschool) FREE (a.k.a. Kids Learn to Read) will teach you children to:
Blend sounds into words
Read simple words
Form simple words

Kids Learn to Read is the 4th app in our Alphabet Curriculum Series. It is preceded by Kids ABC Letters, Kids ABC Phonics, and Kids ABC Trains.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of letter names and sounds (if not, first get Kids ABC Letters, Kids ABC Phonics and Kids ABC Trains)

Kids Reading is a delightful game that invites your children to practice blending sounds together to form, read and spell words that are all made up of only three letters of the alphabet, such as “dog”,”sun”, and “big”.

What won’t my children learn?
They won’t learn to read words longer than three or four letters.
Kids ABC Reading assumes that your kids already know the sounds that the letters of the alphabet make. If your children do not know these sounds yet, we recommend our Kids ABC Phonics app.

Awesome! I’ve had this game for about 10mins my two year old is loving it! He loves Tommy and the animals and even though he can’t talk yet (reason why I got this app to help) he is match the word to the animal.

UK English version please Great app, but my children are confused by the american pronounciation. O’s are sound more like A’s when spoken in this app. This is also an issue with other software from this developer.

Great Really easy to use my daughter picked it up really well

Meets you halfway. You must be involved with this and your child. It has a few bugs, like anunciating the words. I am perplexed by the charge screen as well. I noticed a few of the five star comments come with horrible grammar. This is not five star.

Good Excellent my 2 year old loves the turtle and sounds out the letters however too easy for my 5 year old so he was bored with it .
