The app has everything you need, except manual input when you watered your plant! It’s a marvelous app with plenty of options and Information even in the free version, but it’s not quite useful when you cannot keep track when you watered the plant except from the time they calculated. Really a shame and hard to give more than 2 stars, otherwise it would be easily 5.
I really want to like this app. It lets you take pictures and diagnose, assign room placement, gives instructions on how to care. But I can’t change the the schedule for when MY plant needs to be watered (the option is there but it doesn’t save). Neither can I make changes to unexpected care. So, the timer is always off and will always be off. Without this bug being fixed and this function being added my notifications are always incorrect and without accurate reminders, how can the app help me?
Most accurate plant identifier I’ve used and so much handy information. It’s gotten everything spot on first time, whereas other apps would mostly just get it kind of right, but not quite exactly. It let’s you set the light and other settings for your different areas and then helps you see which places are ideal for your plants or any possible future plants. Set all the necessary reminders for watering, pruning, misting, etc.
I’m using the free version to test functionality before I elect to procure a premium subscription. More stars if the FIRST 2 screens shown upon download and open weren’t trying to FORCE the premium service. It’s rude when apps try to force a subscription before the potential user ever sees the app homescreen and has the opportunity to test functionality. You lose business with your current method of pushing premium services. Even worse, you intentionally camouflage the “X” on the premium adds.
The app seems to work well, and the information is helpful. I doubt the accuracy of the light meter, at least for measuring indoors. Even pointing the camera directly at the sun through a window, the meter reads as ‘dark’.
I like that the app makes it easy to gauge light in your plant’s location, identify the health of a plant and that it has so much information and reminders. Sadly, this app doesn’t allow me to input when MY plant was last watered, making the reminders not as useful for me because they don’t match when my plants need water, which is the primary reason I downloaded it.
You can’t change the scheduling for the plants. And it doesn’t start on the recommended ammont even though it’s right there when you TRY to set it. Also when you read the care guides it’s often different from what the app recommends for the water and fertiliser.
I really like this app. It is one of the better ones I have tried. I like it for diagnosing sick plants and what is wrong. It’s not perfect, every once in a while it closes on me and says there is an error, but 90% of the time it works beautifully. I can take a picture of my plant to see the plant id and when I add the plant to my collection it keeps the picture of my plant. I still do my own research on how to cure sick plants, so I can use alternatives to chemicals.
