Stoop user reviews :

I have had this app for a long time, but only just started using it to it’s full potential. A widget would be a fantastic addition! I wish the developers all the very best for its future because it is SO great even in early stages.

So far I’m really happy with Stoop. The UI looks quite nice. You get your own newsletter email address. Customisable newsletter icons (via link to the icon that you enter yourself) and the option to rename subscribed newsletters. The save, reply and forward are nice too. One thing that could be improved: The sidebar is a little bit difficult to get to with a swipe due to full-screen gestures.

The new update doesn’t fix the bug where you click on next or the check box after coming to the end of a newsletter, it still doesn’t start the next newsletter to the top. Instead it still starts the next newsletter from bottom and you’ll have to scroll back up to the top. I’ve emailed the developer and they haven’t fixed it or acknowledged the bug.

I like the app, but I found an annoying bug and support is not responding after several attempts of contacting them

Needs Improvement 1. Please use icons instead of emoji. 2. Font is too big on the home page of the app. 3. Sidebar could be improved. 4. Export option (ability to export all the subscribed newsletter as plain text or .csv. Otherwise its nice, I am on pro version.

Does exactly what I need! The intuitive and minimal ui makes it much easier to form a habit out of reading newsletters. Solved a major pain point for me.

When u open the app it takes time to load the mail also it doesn’t notify for new mail received

Interesting concept but the application still has rough edges. For example clicking the link in newsletter opens the target site inside application’s webview OR disables all links in the newsletter until it is reopened. Also clicking the link opens the target page twice in the browser. This makes Stoop pretty much unusable for link-heavy digests like Hacker Newsletter. Hopefully these problems will be fixed in time.

It is frustrating to use. The whole point of newsletters are the links that people share, if the link opens inside the app and I can’t share it or do the other things that one normally does with emails then what is the point of using your app? It’s just a very frustrating experience to actually read newsletters. If this doesn’t get fixed soon, I’m just going to go back to email.

I really wanted to like this app, but I haven’t opened it in months. Interface continues to be a nightmare of scrolling to access anything. Emails like those from Vox are a mess of broken images. Stoop continues to have no system for syncing over wifi so data continues to be burned through. And no option to share emails or content with friends because they’re so concerned about forcing people to pay for the privilege of saving to pocket. Do not recommend.

  • 1.3.X is newly designed, check it out. Broken images are also fixed. Doesn’t “sync” at all in the background, just downloads the latest issues when you open it (only opening when on wifi should get what you want). You can share content with friends — tap menu icon then fwd. And, gotta have some premium features — can’t do it all for free.

very useful app.I have always been looking for something to read newsletters properly without cluttering my mail inbox. This is the solution. It is very easy to subscribe and manage newsletters.I use it every day. Thanks for this app. UI has been improved and now there is a web version too! Creators , so happy about it.
