The Study Bible user reviews :

This is a good starting point for studying the Bible…there are however a few things that I feel need a bit more attention… one of them being to be able to put your own categories in ‘notes’ and not just have ‘date’ or ‘Bible book’ as the only 2 categories. Also I would prefer more translations to choose from. I personally like AMPC. Thank you for not clouding Biblereading with constant giving of ‘awards’ and other superficial bells and whistles like other apps which makes them sluggish.

The Bible is very good. The notes are deeply insightful and should generate the reader’s sincere thanks — primarily to God and secondarily to Pastor MacArthur. It contains, however, uncapitalized pronouns referring to God, and one would have thought that the printing of this translation offered an ideal opportunity to correct this error (which afflicts numerous modern editions of the Bible). Admittedly, there are also certain passages in which the word choice is less effective.

Hi,im getting older and my eyes are not as good as they used to be. I really love this because of that. I can see it better over the book. I enjoy all of the features including, featured sermons, study resources,i can write and save my notes. This is wonderful. I love it. Thank you GTY.

This is a great app with a straightforward easy to use interface. Spend a little extra to get MacArthur’s notes which are a great resource. Added 6/29/2021: What happened to the audio Bible function? This quit working over a year ago.

Another great Bible app I have in my collection of Bible apps. Only a few Bible versions to choose from based on the versions of the McArthur study Bible, and for a few dollars (less than 10), you can get access to all the notes and comments that are in the actual study Bible plus links to related messages and blogs on the GTY web site.

I enjoy all the ways to study the Bible, from the footnotes, sermons and even the devotionals. I can see a passage and other corresponding passage through out the Bible. I can take notes from my pastor sermon and add it to my Bible, so when ever I come across that passage I can see those notes. So many things that can be done with this app. Love it.

Best Bible study app available. (IMO) UPDATE: For some reason both Bible version audio has stopped working on Android 10. I tried 2 separate devices with Android 10 and neither work. I do have an old Android 5.1 device and audio still works on it. If possible, please fix the audio, as this was one of the features I loved about using this app for my Bible Study, being able to read as I listen. Thank you

Great way to cross reference. Something I’ve had issues with before. I really enjoy the app and it is helping with my relationship with God, by increasing my knowledge and understanding.

Very easy to use and smooth. Brilliant way of having everything in one. The only thing that hasn’t worked is the audio option of listening to the Bible. Everything else is perfect!

I love having the different versions of scripture so close and handy to get even more clarification with John explanations. Thank God for choosing him as a guide for the lost those many years ago. How can I get the audio again so that I can listen when unable to sit and read? Hopefully, soon this issue will be resolved.

Love my physical Bibles, but having the John MacArthur with commentary, plus the daily Bible plan and devotionals on my phone, and the ease of search with even just a single word for verses is the next best thing. I often use it on the go or for searching in conjunction with my physical Bible when studying. The unlocking price for commentary is very affordable and a must to help you understand the living word of God.
