App looks and feels very similar to the desktop version. Although gpg command line sign in was not available, QR code scanning from the desktop app worked great. Also can’t wait for mobile files.

It’s keybase, literally just ported to the phone. There’s no complaints other than files not being implemented yet but this isn’t exactly a flaw either. Looking forward to see what the app brings.

After using Key base for a few months, I’ve been patiently waiting for for the Android app to be released, and now it’s here! Key base is the best way to encrypt and keep track of your keys and your friends keys. Makes public encryption super easy!

Today more than ever, we know that no network is perfect or secure. And the rising cybersecurity threats increase the risk of privacy & data breach exponentially. No one is safe, even internet giants with significantly larger security budgets (case in point: yahoo). Key base is a good idea, but the implementation should be adjusted to allow a c2s model, i.e. on-device management instead of signing up & consolidating account information on their servers.

It’s here! Looks great and set up was easy enough. I was a bit concerned about having to rekey my files as I didn’t get any confirmation that it had gone well. Looking forward to mobile files!
