Broadway 1849 user reviews :

An EXCELLENT game, but ruined by a bad ending. Maybe it was the way I played, but I succeeded at literally everything and the end was just weird and didn’t really make sense. Also felt like it just ended with no real conclusion.

This was a really fun game, the writing was clever and I felt I had a lot of plot options. To take things to the next level I wish there was a challenge mode where you were trying to sign a famous actor, or another the fire, make a certain amount of money within the season, build a certain amount of character connections etc. this would give the end result more direction.

The game isn’t horribly written, as a book it wouldn’t be too bad, but this is CHOICE of games. And the choices in this game are illusions. Having very little effect on the story. The writer is too much of a control freak to want to stray from a certain sequence of events he/she wants to write, rather than letting the audience decide. A cardinal sin in choose your own adventure.

One of the good ones. I enjoyed the story and setting, and thought the choices and writing were on par with some of the Choice’s better titles. I can always tell that I’ve really enjoyed an interactive novel if it’s left me wanting more, and this did that.

Decent story and all with some okay characters. A little random at times. Not bad at all, but overpriced. It is kind of simplistic, with a mild focus on management.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It combines elements of good storyline, detailed characters, and plenty of choices to shape the story.

Fantastic. Multiple possible endings. I like it when the author adds lots of little details to make it feel you’re really seeing an authentic world through someone’s eyes.

Great plot, momentum and character involvement as a whole, never lost my interest from start to finish. Great piece of a story.

This was very well written and filled with unique gems advancing it into a level above several other offers made available. Have not done a replay through yet but was impressed more by the depth of the first run.

Cool. I like the way immersed you in the time of 1850’s while maintaining fun and silly elements to it.

Extremely boring, the choices you make don’t affect your stats after the introduction of your character.

Awesome, but sadly I wish I can pay to play the rest, but I got no money, also the grand tournament series is my favorite

What a lovely story! Absolutely loved it!
