  This app is the command center for your Velop system and Linksys Smart Wi-Fi routers.

Use the Linksys app anywhere you have an internet connection to check connected devices, set up guest access, or keep your kids off the internet when they should be doing homework. The app offers two subscription services: Linksys Aware for whole-home motion detection and Linksys Shield to keep kids safe on the web.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Linksys Shield, for Velop tri-band users, delivers preset age-appropriate category blockers to keep kids safe on the web. The fully customizable presets give you complete control over the content your kids see. Linksys Shield can be used on up to 14 devices connected to your Velop system.

Linksys Aware, for Velop tri-band users, provides whole home motion detection for mesh Wi-Fi systems. Set a sensitivity level matching your home and lifestyle, and get notifications when motion meets or exceeds that level. Requires a tri-band parent node with the Linksys Aware update and at least one child node that is connected wirelessly, either to the parent node or another tri-band node with the Linksys Aware update. No other hardware or apps are required.

Subscription services require a tri-band Velop system. Linksys Aware also requires at least one child node connected wirelessly to your mesh Wi-Fi.
Our Velop product line features Bluetooth setup. In Android 6 and higher, apps must request location permissions to use Bluetooth. We don’t collect or use any location information in our app.

This is a good app. It would be preferable if restrictions could be set on the half hour or 15 minute increments instead of just on the hour. Also you cannot delete a schedule from the mobile app but only from the internet login. One bug that seems to happen is if parental controls are overridden from the mobile app, this sometimes deletes the entire schedule and they need to be set again.

The Linksys app has become that I simply could NOT imagine my life without, now that I have it! Among the numerous features it offers, three stand out for me.. 1)The ability to make a seperate “Guest Access” login/password for guests to access your wifi, without giving them administrative access. 2)The ability to prioritize any three devices to draw the speed they need above other connected devices. 3)The ability to set “Parental Controls” on/for any connected device(s). (EXTREMELY useful!)

Everything this app shows, it won’t show on my phone. I downloaded the app from play store and don’t show much. It also constantly searches for IP addresses. Making it hard for me to log into a web site. When I go to the Linksys web to go into the linksys wifi set up it takes me to the play store or apple store. To download what I already downloaded.
