“Paper Bride 4 Bound Love” is a Chinese horror puzzle game, the fourth work in the “Paper Bride” series. Welcome everyone to return to the world of Paper Bride. This time, let us uncover the secrets of Yichang Town together.
We are trying to create a different experience for each paper bride. In the previous few works, we tried to deconstruct puzzle solving and folklore in different aspects (such as physical puzzle solving, burning paper for ourselves, etc.).
And this work, we intend to go back to the basics, try a more traditional direction, and restore the feeling of old-fashioned classic folk movies.
New works will continue to be upgraded:
*Traditional Chinese folk culture upgrade – more Chinese folk culture and metaphysics, more paper puppets.
*Art upgrade—the art department has a few new monsters (masters), and things like paper figurines will be even weirder.
*Heartbeat upgrade——Different paper fans have different evaluations on the heartbeat speed of the previous game. Some people said it was more exciting, while others said “it’s not as good as the previous one”. So this time we dare not use too much force, just increase it by 0.01 times！No entrance for heart disease patients!

Amazing story, art, and voice acting as always. However, too many puzzles relied heavily on knowledge of hanzi and may turn people away. For western audiences, it would help to have something like an in-app screenshot function and/or more time to complete the timed puzzles. Looking forward to the next Paper Bride!
A great addition to the series, the stories are better each time. The puzzles are also doable for the most part, except one where you have to pick out Chinese characters while on a timer, that is probably too difficult for non Chinese speakers to do without screenshots. If you’re a puzzle game enthusiast, try this out!
I’ve played all the paper bride games and I really liked it .Loved the games and the stories however I don’t know chinese letters which makes some of the puzzles difficult to solve. I had to skip one of the puzzle in this game since it involved finding and selecting words that’s shown for few seconds and then disappears, before the ghost stops you from solving it
The story getting more and more interesting but I wish there’s some kind of characters list from past series cause it’s hard to remember who is whom. The puzzle is fun to do although it’s quite hard if you know little to no mandarin. The biggest downside of this game probably the translation, there are times where the translation is confusing to understand
the puzzles are too hard the symbols are hard to remember and see. I got through a few chapters but had to quit because the clues were just too complicating and difficult to solve. even with the hint, I couldn’t tell how they came up with the correct code and what equation was needed. disappointed. Too much dialogue as well. you should add a skip button
As expected, the game is great (as it should ) and we even get to see cameos of past characters in the end. There are still some grammatical errors but it’s manageable as it did not take away my interest in the lore. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that I liked the OST of Paper Bride 3 better and the fact that it involved three stories in one plot.
I’ve played all the games and I love it, no other game I’ve played can top any of the paper bride games. I love the story lines and art in all of them and this one the art is absolutely stunning, I enjoy doing the puzzles they’re always fun to do. I can’t wait for the next game!
I love playing this series. The stories are great and has twist and turns in it that are great. The lore and puzzles in the game make it so engrossing. Each game feels so unique, but also fits perfectly with each other in the overall story.
The game runs really well. You can watch ads to get hints if need and there’s no limit on how many. Interesting story, great puzzles and good overall creepy vibe. I would highly recommend, I finished the game in 2 days!
