Love the new update that puts actions and especially the current location shortcut at the bottom of the screen where it is more accessible. This app was great before, but the little UX nitpicks that would come up (like not being able to select current location with one hand every time I opened the app in a new place) were pretty annoying! This update is a significant improvement. Thanks!

Been using this app for several years (paid and unpaid). Currently using the free version as I had no need for the premium features at present. However, the recent update has made the base map a premium layer, and now it always snaps back to the previous location when scrolling/zooming. Have found a work around but it’s tedious when trying to save waypoints, create routes, etc. Disappointing because I can’t always be at a desktop/laptop to seek out future routes. Otherwise a great service!

Wow. I just opened Gaia this morning to see some new updates. I have been using this app for years on every trip I do, including a couple rafting trips down the Grand Canyon, backcountry skiing, and mushroom picking. I made a suggestion a while back that it would be useful to have a feature where you can draw your desired track on with a finger or pen which would be particularly helpful for figuring out distances on winding rivers and wouldn’t you know it? They friggen did it. Best app ever.

A good app for building an off road route, but some roads it thinks are good actually turn out to be off limits / private prop. When making a route, the app does not let you see closed bridges. Voice directions are lame, go off the route and the app wont attempt to redirect back to the route. Notification to turn left or right can sometimes be too late to make a safe move. But, I still love it, solid app.
